Cowboy Fan Living in Philly Area

The Eagle fans will be crying in two weeks.

My worst nightmare has come true. It's been bad since the playoffs started with Philly making it and us nowhere to be seen. Every newscast is all about the Iggles and their run. Now it's gonna get exponentially worse with the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl. God forbid they win the thing. I won't be able to turn the TV on.

What makes it worse is that I can't say to myself that this is their year but we are on the cusp and will be back in the hunt and a strong contender next year. That would be a lie. An overpaid QB coming off an injury, no running game to speak of, an offensive and defensive line full of question marks and a so-so secondary with it's best player coming off a major injury. Oh, I forgot, a head coach that nobody else even bothered to interview. What a rosey picture.

So for the next two weeks and maybe into the offseason, I will be bombarded with Fly, Eagles, Fly chants and mayors trying to figure out how to spell Eagles. It is going to be Hell. I often asked myself why I became a Cowboys fan so many years ago and curse Roger Staubach who drew me in. But here I am; a Cowboys fan in enemy territory without hope or any ammunition to fight back when I get bombasted with Iggle chants.

I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a glimmer of hope for the Cowboys next season. What is a reason to be optimistic for 2025 and beyond? Thanks in advance if anyone can come up with that

Philly doing so well just makes Jerry and his box of rocks son look more and more dumb. Remember, these two nitwits have been saying for years that Philly and their plan isn't sustainable and that eventually it will catch up to them. And all the Eagles have done in 8 years is make 3 SBs, win one with a chance at another W, while constantly retooling the roster even using FA extensively to make it happen.

The more Philly succeeds, the dumber and dumber Jerry looks.

Brother, I am with you. It's gonna be unbearable. (again) It's not quite as bad for me since I'm not in the division like you guys, but I hate the eagles more than any professional sports team, and the constant reminders of their excellence requires God level patience to not just lose it. I can't even listen to sports talk radio to hear about my Flyers or Sixers because it's all football, all the time. I really can't root for the Chiefs to win the SB any harder. It's so bad that I think if the eagles win, I'm gonna get out of town the day of the parade.

I was not addressing the op. I was addressing you saying it is worse in Kansas City. It is not period. You don't live here so you don't know. I grew up here and still live here. I have been to Kansas City. The people are no where near as vile as folks are here. You go to Delaware, New Jersey or PA, with Dallas gear on and some stranger always has something smart to say. I also used going to game as adding to it being worse here.

I live in the area and it’s more sweet when they don’t get it done. The tears are much better the further they get. I see everybody on this board loves all their participation trophies. According to the folks here, if it ain’t a sb trophy then it’s a participation trophy, keep the same energy. Nobody crowns the Bills for losing all them damn super bowls.

LOL! Sixers I'm following literally out of obligation. They're cooked and I refuse to pay exorbitant money to see them. I'm praying the Flyers grab one of the final playoff spots this season so that I don't have to suffer until baseball.

Well I am in a similar position living outside DC.
My best advise is to realize their is much more to life than the Cowboys.
Faith and family are so much more important.
