Cowboy Fan Living in Philly Area

I live in the middle of Chief territory. It's worse here. I've gone through this the last 2 years and now again this year. If I had a dollar for every time I've hear three-peat I'd be rich. That's not counting the Chiefs making the AFCCG for 7 years in a row. The pain Cowboys fans feel living here is worse than anywhere else.
I would argue that Philly fans hate Cowboy fans much more that KC fans do. But we both are in a world of hurt

With all due respect. Nothing is worse than living in Eagle Country. Can you wear another teams jersey to a Chief's game and not be cursed out or beat up weather you are a child or a woman?? I bet you can, but not to an Eagles game here. I rest my case. The hate here is beyond anything you could imagine. Local radio station call Cowboy fans here Cock roaches on the radio.

My worst nightmare has come true. It's been bad since the playoffs started with Philly making it and us nowhere to be seen. Every newscast is all about the Iggles and their run. Now it's gonna get exponentially worse with the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl. God forbid they win the thing. I won't be able to turn the TV on.

What makes it worse is that I can't say to myself that this is their year but we are on the cusp and will be back in the hunt and a strong contender next year. That would be a lie. An overpaid QB coming off an injury, no running game to speak of, an offensive and defensive line full of question marks and a so-so secondary with it's best player coming off a major injury. Oh, I forgot, a head coach that nobody else even bothered to interview. What a rosey picture.

So for the next two weeks and maybe into the offseason, I will be bombarded with Fly, Eagles, Fly chants and mayors trying to figure out how to spell Eagles. It is going to be Hell. I often asked myself why I became a Cowboys fan so many years ago and curse Roger Staubach who drew me in. But here I am; a Cowboys fan in enemy territory without hope or any ammunition to fight back when I get bombasted with Iggle chants.

I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a glimmer of hope for the Cowboys next season. What is a reason to be optimistic for 2025 and beyond? Thanks in advance if anyone can come up with that
Dude. Living in Philly right now gotta be rough. All I can say is take a vacation for the next couple of weeks and forget about those stinking dirty birds!!
As far as something to be optimistic about? We may get to see Aubrey break the NFL record for longest FG next season. Sorry...that's all I got.

There’s no hope. Just enjoy football or don’t but you are gonna be miserable. I don’t even care if the Eagles win anymore. I honestly don’t even go at it with Eagle fans anymore. No point. Not at this point in both teams current situations. Maybe make a NFC championship and we can talk.
This is where I am......doesn't bother me if they win. I'm reduced to enjoying good football, regardless of the team. Man, feel for the losing teams Sunday coz there's no guarantee they get this close again. It dawned on me Sunday just how hard it is getting to the Super Bowl. If anything stood out IMO was the strength and resiliency required throughout the teams.....A-Z, coaches and players. Notice the coordinators of both SB teams playing chess, protecting their weaknesses and using their strength to attack opponents. It's why I said for me, it's just good football...

No where in the OP did it state anything about going to a game.

Who gives a crap about the Eagles other than all of the Eagles fans on here who are so obsessed with the Cowboys that even now they are obsessed with the Cowboys. This is a Cowboy board. Start moving the Eagles threads to the NFL Zone board, mods

Jerry will be a year older.

Beyond that, there's no reason for optimism. This team is going to be fighting to stay out of the basement of the East.
Jerry had it his way, Deion would be Coach right now. this is a Stephen move. thats the one you need to worry about. Stephen does not want to loose any of his money so he's a cheap a**

Brother, I am with you. It's gonna be unbearable. (again) It's not quite as bad for me since I'm not in the division like you guys, but I hate the eagles more than any professional sports team, and the constant reminders of their excellence requires God level patience to not just lose it. I can't even listen to sports talk radio to hear about my Flyers or Sixers because it's all football, all the time. I really can't root for the Chiefs to win the SB any harder. It's so bad that I think if the eagles win, I'm gonna get out of town the day of the parade.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, a study on Stockholm Syndrome
Nah. The current problems and issues don’t erase our franchise history.

And I won’t take any crap from any division rival fans. Ever. On principle.

Not when they have been “lil bro” since the beginning of time.

I have gone to Eagles-Cowboys games in Philly and no way in hell do I wear a Cowboys jersey. I was there once tailgating in the parking lot and I watched a dude with a Cowboys jersey go into a port-a-john and Eagle fans immediately went over and tipped it over with him in. They laughed and high-fived each other, too

Me too. No radio. I don't even want to go to Wawa and get coffee for the next month. Just sick to my stomach. Can't stand to see these toothless cheese steak breath Eagle fans walking around
Gottahava Wawa

I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with recognizing history concerning any topic. Doing so can provide anyone a retrospective of what can happen in the future since events came true in the past.

On the other hand, boasting is always more effective when ammunition is still new. Time has eroded the sheer dominance that the franchise demonstrated in years gone by. Folks can use what Dallas was but the gunpowder has run dry. There will be predictable misfires using Old Dallas against newer fans.
I am not starting anything with any rival fans. We absolutely are in a low spot.

But when they start yapping and get out over their skis, you just remind them of the truth and reality of the history of the franchises in discussion.

I have no issues acknowledging how poorly we have been managed the last 30 years, and I also have no problem putting rival fans in their place when they start acting superior

Sorry to have to break the news to you, but the Eagles are set up to be good for a few more years. And worse yet, they have a GM that stays ahead of their problems.

They are a team built to win whoever the QB is so when they trade Hurts one day and replace him with a low cost QB on a rookie deal and they still win, be prepared for more pain.

To add misery to that, the Commanders have a Mahomes like QB with a GM and owner willing to do what is necessary to build a winning team. They are not afraid to make free agent acquisitions, and they alos had a nice draft last year. We'll see what they do drafting near the bottom of the round, but in one year they made an amazing turnaround.

If the Giants get a QB, the Cowboys will be sniffing the basement in the NFC East.

I live about an hour north of philthy and have been a boys fan since the 70s. As I sit here in the am, i cant have any tv on without hearing about the stupid egals. Some ******* in a store yesterday tried to get the E A G L E S chant going and no one joined in...what a maroon.
Philadelphia is a cross between Staten Island and deep Appalachia.
All the bravado of low class mobsters, crossed with the cultural refinement of the banjo player in Deliverance.

The Philly media are making a big deal about the city's football team going to the SuperBowl?

Ur right....that's CRAZY!!!!

I'd suggest moving somewhere else like Kansas City. I'm sure that city isn't making a big deal about the SB

The Eagle fans will be crying in two weeks.
Hurts is going the route of RGIII.
Run too much - hurt.
Hurts is not the threat. Barkley is on a tear. The fact he’s gained 1000 yards before contact is why the birds are flying high.

Their D can be had with a good play caller

I feel sorry for you, Bro!
At least I’m in NY where both the Jets and Giants play so they really can’t talk.
I have a few giants fans who try to give me the business, but they are pathetically bad so it’s nothing but white noise in the background.
I will say one thing, the giants will put their act together before our clown show does.
Just hang out in there until the eagles start sucking again and maybe we can strive to be a .500 team again.

Yeah I imagine it must be brutal living over there,

but I gotta tell you for my selfish reasons,

I wasn't pulling for either team, but in the end, I was happy Washington got their doors blown off instead of it was a close competitive game..

Washington looked like trash, Dan Quinn and all the ex coaches and ex cowboy players look like trash, and they don't get to go to a Super Bowl..

well I'm glad I think it takes a little bit sting off and I realized we didn't want the eagles in there either but now we just pulled from the AFC we pulled for the chiefs to just curb stop the eagles they need to do us a favor and win this game....
