It's a city below the mountains where parts of the Winter Olympics was held...

Sheesh...yesterday I was out mowing the lawn! Now, you cannot even see the grass!

The good news is the snow should kill the grass for a while so you won't have to mow. :D

Zaxor sounds like our parents shared some of the same principles..

Born in Idaho and lived in the following cities:

Mountain Home, Boise, Eagle, Emmett, Pocatello, Twin Falls, Burley, Meridian, and Nampa in Idaho.

Walla Walla, Spokane, Tri-Cities and Vancouver in Washington.

Madras, Metolius, Bend, CoosBay, Eugene and Roseburg in Oregon.

Gillette, Laramie, and Green River in Wyoming.

Ogden, Roy, Clearfield, Layton, Provo, Pleasant Grove, Cedar City, St. George and American Fork in Utah.

Las Vegas and Mesquite in Nevada.

We moved 85 times from when I was born until I moved out at 15, since then (not including the Army) I have lived in 4 towns.

I was stationed at Ft. Knox KY. and then Wildflecken Germany, finishing up my tour at Ft. Riley KS. I became a Cowboys fan in Grade School in Oregon and currently reside in Meridian, ID. We will move once more as we are building our home up in the foothills of Boise.

What? Homeless random people? Are you too lazy to get out there and mow? Are you rich? Do you even own a lawnmower? How about a weedeater? Do you have a sprinkler system, or do these "random people" just pee on your grass while they mow? What do you use for fertilizer...the neighbors dog? Does your lawn have weeds? What kind of grass do you have? Can you smoke it?

Actually, I like to mow my lawn. I double mow it north to south, then east to west...it comes out looking like carpet!

:D And it's green...

Holy Moses. I wouldn't have even unpacked. 15 when you moved out? Is it a good story? I moved out of the house when I was 11, but stayed on the property. I moved into the scale house where the cattle were weighed at shipping time (ranch kid). I had an AM radio where I listened to Paul Harvey and country music, and read Louis L'Amour novels. I only went into the main house to shower, eat, or use the bathroom.

My Mom called me an only child in a family of 3 kids.

:laugh2: :laugh2: Well, at least you lived somewhere that you really did not have to clean much...like in a house...except that one little area that you slept in...

Did you sleep on some straw?

The scale house was 12' x 12' and I slept on a twin bed. No heat, no A/C, no swamp cooler, one window, concrete floor. Outside were the corrals and the cows. I swept it out every single day. 2 years of that.

Oh, I did go in the house for one other reason, Cowboys football.

It may sound funny, but I loved it.

That is a name I haven't heard in a VERY long time. I put in a few hours on top of that mountain back in the late 80's. Trying to haul about 100 gallons of water up the side of a mountain in a 5 ton truck is HELL.
