I know it's early but I thought it would be interesting if everyone made their primetime list of players they don't want to see as Cowboys next year:

Bobby Carpenter
Ken Hamlin
Pat McQuistan
Pat Watkins
Flozell Adams (it's time)
Keith Brooking (good player but clearly past his prime)
Cory Proctor
Doug Free (doesn't fit the Cowboys OL, wasted draft pick)
Junior Siavii (can we get a real nose tackle to spell Ratliff, please?)

Honorable mention:

Anthony Spencer (could get labeled the "B" word if he continues his subpar play)

Marcus Spears (he talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk..yes he's a 3-4 DE but he hasn't made a game-changing play since the Chiefs game in 2005.)

All those guys you mentioned and especially Flozell Adams. I am sick to death of his stupid play. Ken Hamlin comes in at a close second for signing a big contract and packing it in.

I haven't given up on Doug Free yet.

We probably should make a similar post for cowboyszone posters. But first, we are gonna have to arbitrarily delineate the time of the year that's really too early in the posting season, then make our premature proclamations

hopefully I'll be proven to be an idiot for saying that and they'll have decent years. But for now...

Wow, I have seen some ridiculous stuff this past week, probably said a few ridiculous things myself, but this...this is beyond absurd. Spencer is going to be pretty dang good.

Some of the others on your list were questionable as well. Poor list, poor thread....

Really i thought about trading especially Ware for a long time now. And i think that would be a great idea. I don't think that Ware is that great (or any other player) that he justifies a contract where you could afford 3 or 4 other players that are really good. I think the production you get from a player that maybe has 60% potential of Ware's ist not that big of a difference. But the difference in salary will be hugh.

Romo i don't know. Even if he is not that great like we all hoped he'd be we still have no other QB developed to take his place. But then when i watch him and expecially his behaviour in the last few months i think this whole thing is really rough for him mentally. I think he is in danger to break under the preasure. So getting rid of him in times he has value may not be the worst idea.

This is from a business and from a success-oriented point of view. I don't think in todays NFL you really need star players. The negative effects that come from their salaries are just too high. You can be successfull (and i think that really is the way to success) with alot of good players that don't demand that much of money.

If you are lucky to draft or develop great players use them as gained trade value. Expecially for Ware i could see us getting more then 2 #1s right now. With that picks and the saved money i think we are way more able to build a successfull team.

Looking at some of these names, its a good thing that some of you are not GMs. You make Jerry look like a genius at the job.

Which organization is currently successful in modeling this theory?
