Cowboy QB Drew Henson to Europe?

Yeagh Hos - GREAT news your boy Henson is going to NFL Europe.

At his season-ending news conference, Parcells said Hutchinson could use all the snaps he can get.

"He is going to play over there," Parcells said. "Now, quite frankly, it's been my experience if a guy goes over to Europe and he can't play over there, he is going to have a hard time playing over here."

Not exactly a revelation.

This just in, if you can't play for Johnson County Community College, you probably can't play in the NFL either.

Hos spell checking posts - lol

I understand the angst in said topic posted and will leave it at that.

NFL Europe - I can't watch it

What angst? I said I was in favor of it.

read his books - listen to all his press conferences. I have

I'm not doing the work for you.
He's not sending his "stud" prospects there. He has an old school view and the NFL Europe is a last gasp minor league vehicle.

In fact - compile the list of players he's sent over there and you'll answer your own question.

Keith Davis the somewhat exception but a kid who played very well there I believe.

Parcells doesn't even know if he's sending him or not!

Keith Davis went over there for playing time because he couldn't find much playing time with Roy and Darren already here, he lit it up overseas, and he's now our starting FS, that right there should give you all you need to know about Parcells' view of NFLE, if you can't succeed over there, Hutchinsucks, then you have no business starting in the NFL, see Hutch getting canned after his poor NFLE experience, so why don't we wait instead of reading between lines that aren't there, and stop assuming that since Parcells sent Hutch over to Europe, even though he never really showed any faith in the guy since the former staff, not him, brought him in, that the same ending will become of Henson IF he's sent over there?

how does this support your theory in any way, shape or form? Henson still has to fail in NFLE

This thread is going to get too emotional for the Henson advocates. T

This is a serious decision and if sent to NFL Europe sends mixed signals. Mixed from what they said a year ago when they did not send him.

I'm past spelling it out any more and bow out of this thread.
You can slice this one 12 ways - I find those spinning positive are running out of blood.....

Game tomorrow and focus on that is my mantra now!

there is no spinning going on here from me, Henson has to fail in NFLE, IF, in fact, he's even sent over there, and you even pulled up a quote from Parcells that proved my point, so unlike you, I'm leaving speculation out of it, and c'mon, comparing Henson to Hutch, that's just well...weak, spineless, no basis, mindless conjecture of an agenda-driven troll

BTW, not only am I a Henson advocate, but I'm a fact advocate

I would love it if Henson is our QB of the future. How can you not like what he has. Big tall QB who is extremely strong and has a rocket arm. Athletic mobile fast feet and he can feel pressure to.

But the problem is Bledsoe is nowhere near past his prime. Again by the time Hensons time comes in Dallas he will be 30. Better to give that time to a young QB who will last 10+ years.

Henson is done in Dallas. Hopefully some other team gives him a chance.

Quick how old is Henson?

Bledsoe has a 2 year deal with an option year.

This must be the new math.:D

I didn't say no one makes it from NFL Europe. I'm just saying its extremely unlikely.

And you don't simply send quarterbacks there to gain experience. You send them there as a last opportunity.

Keith Davis was sent there because he had such little experience, and he was named an All NFL Europe player. He is our starter because we had no better options, not because he magnificantly won the job. Keith Davis has actually proved to be our defensive's greatest weakness.

If Bledsoe plays 3 years then by the time Henson starts he would be 28.

But if Bledsoe plays here 5 years which is what I think will happen then Henson would be 30.

Best to get a QB in the draft who will be alot younger and not have 3 or 4 years away from the game.

I think the play of Bledsoe eliminated any slight chance Henson ever had of starting here. Henson will be too old to start when Bledsoe retires. Cowboys will get a rookie qb in 2007 or maybe 2006.

I love it when people give you absolute guarantees conditinal on an IF.

That's logic.
