Of course you cherry pick this season, but Marinelli has not had a defense full of rookies every year, this is what, year 5?

And Marinelli has said he doesn’t need top end talent, remember they were going to draft Sheriif Floyd in the first round and Rod said he didn’t need him.

He didn't say he didn't need Floyd. He said Floyd was not worth a mid-first.

Marinelli had to play a lot of man in past years because they were tied to players like Carr and Claiborne. Now he has players that better fit his scheme. If everyone gets/stays healthy then I expect this defense to significantly improve. If it doesn't then I'll get on the 'It's Marinelli's fault" bandwagon.

so basically in the Garrett area our defenses has been trash. Would lead you to think Garrett doesn't believe too much in the theory that defense win games.
We don't nearly have as much money in our defense as we have in our offense.

JG said one of the reason he is giving up play calling was so that he can spend more time with the defense. Looking at Percy's stats, it looks like it didn't help any. Not surprised.

Have you ever seen a suspended player magically back when the playoffs start? If anything those playoff games wouldn't accrue to the suspended games but the player would remain ineligible

I feel bad for Romo, the dude balled out of his mind most years and this defense was an albatross around his neck.

I wonder if Garrett is going to waste Dak's career like he did Romo's with laughably bad defense year in and year out?

you are right, but the timing of it all didn't make sense, so sounded right at the time
