I get the sentiment behind that statement. But two things:

Were it not for some ticky-tack officiating (e.g. holding call calling back Zeke touchdown on Tyron Smith), the score would have been different. That said, on the Cowboys end, they have alot to clean up in regards to how many penalties they had...not all of them were phantom calls, though, admittedly a few looked questionable.

Two, the weather really prevented both teams from opening up their offenses like they would have liked. I'm pretty sure Dak was under strict instructions as the game wore on and got wetter to not test them deep. You could see some of the passes coming out of Dak's hand seem to slip out a little, forcing unintentional air under the ball, which many times leads to interceptions. The final two quarters of that game, I think they took the foot off of the pedal a little, placing a premium on maintaining the lead and protecting the ball over furthering their lead.

You crazy if you don't think a lot of the grey rock stuff Garrett does with the press isn't to shield the team from the normal chaos that surrounds it. And by 'normal chaos' I mean 'stuff that Jerry does for attention.' Garrett even talked at length a few offseasons ago about how and why he handles the public press questioning the way he does, and why it's difficult for him.

Just spitballing here (and not trying to open a can of worms with this topic) but.....

Hearing Garrett preach about RKGs in spite of having what appears to be the opposite of these types of players on the team at various times and quantities could be Garrett saying read between the lines as to why this is happening. i.e...Its a subtle way of calling out his boss.

or I could be dead wrong
