Cowboy Tweets 10/30

Sung from the same tired song sheet that's been worn out for years.
Everyone is on the same page. Jerry Jones. Stephen Jones. Garrett.

"We like what we have".

That has to count for something, right?

That's the point. He consistently takes the wind out of the sails our blowhard owner is constantly refilling.
Jerry Jones has said that himself on numerous occasions. He is not taking the wind out of any sails.

You crazy if you don't think a lot of the grey rock stuff Garrett does with the press isn't to shield the team from the normal chaos that surrounds it. And by 'normal chaos' I mean 'stuff that Jerry does for attention.' Garrett even talked at length a few offseasons ago about how and why he handles the public press questioning the way he does, and why it's difficult for him.

That has very little to do with organizational direction and fiscal philosophy.

It might be hard to deal with a sideshow barker that has his own radio spots, holds court in locker rooms after a game etc.

That is not the same as this, which like I said is a very consistent theme. They habitually "like what they have" and rarely get aggressive with talent acquisition.

Either way, it's sad to see Dak getting some of the same treatment from officials that Romo got when he was here. Even a whiff against Rodgers draws a penalty while our quarterbacks can be broken in half and not get one.

This year that seems to be the case.

Last year, Dak received more of those penalties than Romo had in his entire career.

Wrong again.
Cooper has played quite well for a cheap free agent signing.
Dak is the greatest 4th round pick in NFL history.

There are 9 hall-of-fame players that were drafted in the 4th round (and 39 drafted in later rounds). I love Dak but can we tap the breaks a little lol (its been 23 games)... I do agree about Cooper though.

1949 Norm Van Brocklin 37 QB Los Angeles Rams
1957 Sonny Jurgensen 43 QB Philadelphia Eagles
1969 Charlie Joiner 93 WR Houston Oilers
1974 John Stallworth 82 WR Pittsburgh Steelers
1976 Harry Carson 105 LB New York Giants
1976 Steve Largent 117 WR Houston Oilers
1985 Andre Reed 86 WR Buffalo Bills
1986 Charles Haley 86 DE/LB San Francisco 49ers
1987 Cris Carter *n/a WR Philadelphia Eagles

By the way... Thanks Nirvana and LocimusPrime for all the tweet recaps.

Nah man, we won't tap the breaks.

GTHO

Like i said I love Dak but "greatest 4th round pick in NFL history" after 23 games... come on man. :p

The 9 guys I listed that were 4th round hall of fame players all have great cases to debate that at this point lol.
