That's shocking, I can't believe how tough he is! What a competitor.

And a hardee har har to anyone who thought that whole thing about him potentially not playing wasn't total diva bs.

Meh...

Just go out there and clip that ankle pretty hard a couple times and we'll see how tough he really is.

Green is technically much better at T than he is at G. He looks very uncormfortable inside and was getting pushed into the backfield, allowing his defender to make several backside stops or at the very least make the RB change where he was going.
The thinking I'm sure is with familiarity comes better production and Green hasn't had enough time to establish comfort as opposed to Cooper who has been a Guard his entire career.

That's why I don't get it when people try to use the word "power" when desciding Chaz Green's game. Sorry, he's not a power player. He's a technique guy with good feet (when he's not injured).

And you're absolutely right that he's a much better tackle with that technique than he isn't a guard, trying to drive people off the ball.

And given his awful history of injury, he's a backup candidate you do your best to preserve just in case, not a starter candidate.

Sounds like you're ready to re-sign him to a new deal.

Ben Punkcheeks!

Sorry... I've been trying to come up with a new name for a certain poster and it bled into here.

If y'all will notice, Chaz ALWAYS tries to get his butt to the "hole"..... That's his MO in regards to heads-up block, he sets those feet really quick. He doesn't try to over power anyone, he's trying to get his backside to the gap using his excellent base. He may look like he's getting backed up, but if you watch closely-you'll see exactly as I state

Woh, woh, woh, woh, woh!

First of all, we've seen Green play with this unit and not miss a beat in Tyrone Smith's absence last year...so you have to know that factors into their lack of confidence in naming a starter. Second, Kellen Moore level stupid was previously unattainable until they recently brought Kellen Moore back. It's a bit soon to be throwing that label around.
But playing tackle and playing guard are 2 different things. Cooper has been the better LG of the 2. Green is becoming legendary or something, like he is Larry Allen

Honestly, I don't care who starts. I was just taking a guess at what the coaches are thinking.
