Mohamed Massaquoi
Bernard Berrian
Jermichael Finley
Earl Bennett
Michael Jenkins

me personally, none of them for a 3rd rounder. Way to high for any of them. 4th or 5th rounder, maybe one of them.
High 5. Right answer to a very good question by SDogo.

Is a high 5 still the cool thing to do? I was thinking it had been replaced by that jump in the air and slam against each other thing.

At our age, the "High 5" is probably much safer.:(

Picking 27th pick overall with no elite players available with our pick we trade down with tampa bay for their 2nd-44th, 3rd 67th, 5th 158th. With these picks, we meet all of our needs in the draft.

With tampa bays 2nd pick we take Brandon Spikes. With our 2nd rounder we take Vladimir Ducasse OT/OG.

We then get a call from either the Raiders or Seattle for their 4th and 7th rounder for Marion Barber. So, with the tampa bays 3rd rounder we take Dexter McCluster speedy rb/kickoff and punt returner.

We also get a call for Patrick Crayton, a 5th rounder, we use this pick to trade up to get a player we want.

Later we get another call from Miami for Pat McQuistan, we trade him to Miami for their 7th rounder. We use this pick later to trade up for a player in the draft too.

With our 3rd rounder we take Jason Fox OT, If Jason Fox is gone we take We take Jared Veldheer, Hillsdale, 6-8, 311, OT

With Raiders or Seattles 4th rounder we take Jacoby Ford Wr, elite punt and kickoff returner who later can turn into a elite wr.

With our 4th rounder we take Ken Chancellor safety. If Chancellor is gone we take Larry Asante or Robert Johnson, FS, Utah, 6'2", 200.

With tampa bays 5th rounder we take LeGarrette Blount RB. If Blount is gone we take Garrett Graham FB 6'4" 235 Wisconsin

With our 6th rounder we take Leigh Tiffin Kicker or Hunter Lawrence Kicker.

With Tampa Bays 7th rounder we take Clifton Geathers DE.

With Raiders or Seattles 7th rounder we take Erik Cook, C, New Mexico, 6'6", 315

With our 7th rounder we take Kelton Tindal, Newberry WR.

I see your looking for speed with Ford, Mcluster and Newberry but why Jason Fox and Kam Chancellor (you have it spelled Ken)? Fox has had some injury problems and Chancellor's profile is similar to a Taylor Mays. I like Chancellor don't get me wrong, I'm just wondering how you think he fits into our defensive scheme?

totally agree, i was the same way about barber, thinking that we could get a 2nd rounder for him, but you have to quit being homer and really look at true value of players compared to players that were traded like randy moss.

then you have to remember come draft time, its really hard to trade players for high draft picks, teams just arent going to give up their high draft picks

Yup and you also have to consider draft picks in 2011 will not have high value incase there is a lockout. I think we'll see more trades for restricted free agents but less trading in the draft.

McCluster and Ford will be the elite punt and kickoff returners, and in some spots McCluster willbe used as the deep speedy wr to stretch the defense, while McCluster can play wr some and on 3rd down be the elite rb for razorback with choice etc if we trade barber.

Blount will be the big bruising back.

I'll take Tate from Auburn ALL DAY over Blount. He has bigger issues than just punching the Boise St player. He has a history of making dumb decisions.

Fox had some slight injury problems which is true, but he played hurt and adequately more than once. He would be a steal in the 3rd round. If it wasnt for his knee surgery and the one time irregular heartbeat (Hos straightened me out about that) Fox would go in the first or early 2nd rouind.

Yes, like Jimmy Johnson said, speed kills. With Chancellor, he changed my mind in the bowl game and from things I heard about him from the scouts during that bowl game. He covered and covered well and delivered some big time hits. Kinda like a Darren Woodson, now at same time he doesnt have Woodsons speed, but if chancellor delivers that kind of hitting and being able to run alittle faster than what they say he runs, then I think he fits our system.

Sensabaugh can play free safety (remember wade said that our safeties play both positions on the field, strong and free since they are interchangeable), and we can move Chancellor to strong safety. I am not happy with Ken Hamlin and I dont think Jerry Jones is either, that is the bottom line.

I do agree that we really need a big time free safety with speed, but I dont think where we are picking in the draft you can get one that late in the first round.

That would be funny to see Barber end up in Seattle and take over Julius pile driver Jones starting spot again.:laugh2:

could do it, you just dont know where or how their new head coach is wanting to trade,

we have to wait and see what he does in this draft to get an idea of what and how he trades but would be kinda cool to see him trade for barber and julius jones is on back burner again.

How many times in the past 10-15 years has Jerry Jones traded away a player for a draft pick DURING the draft?

I seem to recall him saying that you do not get value trading a player for a pick during the draft. But maybe I am remembering that wrong.

I remember seeing that quote from Jerry as well.

Actually thought that this year would see more player for player trades, due to the uncapped year. We'll be able to see that once the 'year' kicks in technically.

If Jerry really means it when he speaks of continuity, I think he'll be more likely to stand pat. Of course, a good enough offer, and all bets are off....

Uh, how about Pete Hunter, Scott Shanle, Darion Barnes, Kenyon Coleman, and Sean Ryan for examples?

I said DURING the draft...not way before or after.

Pete Hunter IIRC was traded months after the draft...I was thinking in July.

Scott Shanle was traded during Training Camp...not during the draft.

Kenyon Coleman was not traded during the Draft...We did trade for him but it was not during the draft and later we released him.

Sean Ryan was traded but again not during the draft.

The only one that was traded on draft day was Darian Barnes....However We did not trade Darian Barnes...we traded for him. IIRC when he left it was because we released him not traded him. Getting a player during the draft is not the same as trading away a player for picks. I say this because Jerry has sad the value is not there however if you are trading to get a player the reverse would be true and you would get better value.

I don't recall Jerry trading one of our players to another team DURING the draft. You have in your mock not one but three trades.

He has been on record saying you can not get good return for your players during the draft.

The closest to the draft I remember him trading players for picks was Fasano and Akin A (sp?) to miami but that was still before the draft and not during the draft.

True. It rarely happens. The excitement for the unknown and "what-if" is way too powerful during the draft to get fair value. You can look at history and see that almost all teams will avoid trading exisiting players for picks during the draft.

Well that is one of my pet peeves so to speak with these mock drafts that have us trading players left and right during the draft.

Now maybe I am being too harsh with Joe and he means it could happen before the draft and if so that might be more feasible but I just don't see three players being traded away on draft day when we do not have a history of that happening. Does not mean it will not happen, but it seems that it is something that is not likely to happen with one player let alone three.

Very interesting mock. That's a lot of trading and moving around but it's very interesting.
