12. Dallas Cowboys

Favorite pick: Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College

After McMillan went top 10, I loved the fit for Tyler Booker at No. 12. But Dallas got even better value with its two picks on Day 2. A bendy athlete with long arms, Ezeiruaku was my 22nd-ranked player because of his ability to reach the quarterback (No. 1 in the FBS with 1.38 sacks per game in 2024).

Day 3 pick who could surprise: Jay Toia, DT, UCLA

A prospect who easily could have been drafted in the fourth round, Toia is a stout, wide-bodied run defender who can stack and shed the point with ease. With his ability to muck things up at the line, it won’t be surprising when he earns a valuable role as a one-technique tackle in coordinator Matt Eberflus’ scheme.

Giants 5th, Eagles 11th, Skins 19th. The Patriots are his #1 class.

He's got the Chiefs 18th and I think he's nuts. They killed it.

I think Dane is one of the most detached and objective analysts so this sounds pretty accurate to me,

Danes just wrong. Chiefs were top 5 . Had a great haul.

Mostly, but I think our draft should be ranked in the top 10. It's slightly too low. When we regrade our haul in 3 years, it will be proven. But on the Chiefs, he is very wrong. They easily had a top 5 draft.

Who knows if any of these guys are going to pan out. There are no guarantees. All they can grade at this point is draft value and ask questions like ' were the holes in the roster addressed?'

I liked this draft more than I usually like cowboy drafts. Though WR #2 and LB seem to be gaping holes at this point. The run defense is of particular concern as we play in a division with S Barkley.

Toia is exactly what this team needed IMO.........fat nasty tech1/NT to clog the middle and/or keep the LBers clean. He offers very little with a pass rush ( two-down player ) but we already have plenty of those. This is my 3rd fav pick behind Booker and Blue.

That seems about right. I think he had the running backs we selected listed at 21 and 25. With such a huge need I was expecting more.

I would feel much better if the cowboys targeted a wr and rb in free agency. Better than the table scraps they signed. Now we are left looking for retreads or giving up future draft equity for two positions that are bottom 10 rankings in the nfl.

This for those saying we had no interest in upgrading #2 WR. It appears Golen was never in play at 12. They did have an offer from the Texans to trade down, but it was too low.

I think a lot of teams had good drafts. When I scan through all the picks I begin to see why so many teams got A and B grades for this draft.

The Giants had a good draft even if Dart flops. They didn't give away a 1st round pick to move up like the Falcons did, so if Dart flops the Giants just made a bad 2nd round pick. Otherwise, getting Carter, Alexander, MBow, Skattebo and Fidone is a potentially good draft group.

I know some folks are so-so on Alexander, but he has all the traits and playing next to Dexter Lawrence he will have an opportunity to shine.

12th is not bad though. The missing 4th round pick just really hurt. If we left with Dylan Sampson in the 4th and blue in the 5th, my grade would be a half letter grade higher. Even with the lack of wr picks
