Keep Anger and Gallup, the rest can be replaced for all I care. Unless they want to take a discount.
Gallimore is a center piece of the defensive lineI like to see them keep Gallup & Kearse. The rest touche'. Including non FA's as Elliott, Hot Boyz Jaylon Smith, Penalty Kings Gallimore (cost Dallas 2 games) & Gregory.
Let's not forget our wonderful kicker, Zuerlein who cost Dallas 3 games all by his lonely self. Pathetic!
Anger was our MVP....definitely need to re-sign him!!
project 2022 NFL salary cap of $208.2M
2022 Boy's cap projection $224.9 million including dead money
2021 carry over $4.3 million
Cowboys $12M over
Must have: (in order)
1. Anger
2. Kearse
Would like: (no order)
Wilson (small dent to piggybank)
LVE ( same as above )
Armstrong ..." "
Watkins ......." "
Do not touch Dak's, Zeke's, or D-law's contracts
Next year or 2 ( find their replacements and move on, fingers crossed)
Redo or extend for extra cash plus this years rollover
Amari - stud
Martin - stud
Tyron - Good player when available / hard to find a good LT
Collins if needed but would rather not, also shove his big *** inside to LG.
Draft DL, OL, LB while looking for prospects for the untouched contracts listed above.
Everybody go deep on 3 ....
Man, thats like 10ish starters.
Gregory
Kearse
Kazee/Hooker
Anger
McQuaid
Gallup/Wilson
Schultz
Williams
LVE/Neal
We actually NEED to keep some of these players because won't be able to field a whole team!!!
I agree and I wouldn't sign him - but I'm saying Jerry will.I’m not sure I would even try to sign Gregory. He’s the most overhyped player in team history. He’s not dependable and cannot play the run. Some other team will offer him way too much money just based on the hype. We should’ve released him 2-3 years ago.
I’d rather cut Jarwin and resign Schultz.
Correct me of I'm wrong but aren't we 26 million over the cap right now. So everyone not on that list still accumulates 26 million over the cap. With the current cap situation it's hard to envision Dallas being able to resign hardly any of the relevant guys on this list
There is gonna be change for sure,, you have a lot of players with huge salary caps hits in 2022 and fans need to start looking at DAK contract. Think DAKs Cap hit goes from #17mil in 2021 to $34.5mil in 2022.... that doesn't include the 2022 Cap hits for DLAWs $27mil, COOPs $22mil and Zeke's $18mil....gonna be tough to sign anyone without first restructuring contracts or releasing players.
YOU wouldn't sign Gregory to a 20 million deal, but you are not a narcissistic, alcoholic and dementia ridden GM that would. You're reasonable, the GM making the decisions is who based.Honestly besides Anger I don't see any difference makers on that list. I'd try to keep Gregory on a team-friendly or incentive laden deal, but I wouldn't pay him $20M per season.
Second tier guys I'd try to keep are Cedric Wilson, Armstrong and Kearse. The rest can hit the road and won't be hard to replace.
Use draft capital to shore up the middle of both the OL, DL and LB corps. Won't even notice the others are gone.
Move to a West Coast offense after KM leaves.
There - I fixed our issues.
$12.3Correct me of I'm wrong but aren't we 26 million over the cap right now. So everyone not on that list still accumulates 26 million over the cap.
Ok cool. I like your number better. I saw the 26 million on Sportstrac or something like that but I could have read the chart wrong. 12.3 million is way better.$12.3
