So you'd say:
Cox is probably the only one where it's still unclear but it looks like 8/14 were successes with three franchise-tagged players including a QB (Dak). You probably call that a win if it was your 1st round selections.
- Ferguson: Likely Win
- Cox: Likely Loss?
- Ball: Likely Loss
- Robinson: Loss
- Biadasz: Win
- Pollard: Win
- Armstrong: Win
- Shultz: Win
- Switzer: Loss
- Tapper: Loss
- Dak: Win
- Wilson: Win
- Hitchens: Win
- Web: Loss
So I’ve got 10-3. That’s pretty good.
- Ferguson: Likely Win
- Cox: Likely Win
- Ball: Too early
- Biadasz: Win
- Robinson: Loss
- Pollard: Win
- Armstrong: Win
- Shultz: Win
- Switzer: Win
- Tapper: Loss
- Dak: Win
- Wilson: Win
- Hitchens: Win
- Web: Loss
The difference between a realist (me) and optimist vs a negative pessimistic.
- With Switzer, I'd argue it's an NFL win, Cowboys loss.
- With Cox I'd argue he hasn't played yet, and likely won't be a starter this season. Talent has flashed though so I don't disagree
- With Ball at this point, I'd be surprised if he makes the roster after training camp.
How was Switzer a win?So I’ve got 10-3. That’s pretty good.

Switzer was very bad in Pittsburgh

You just can’t help yourself. It is impossible for anyone to have a football discussion with you. There is nothing negative/pessimistic about his post just because he doesn’t agree with your stance on every single player on the list. Damn man, the dude said the list would be a win if it were first round selections and you still called his opinions pessimistic. The difference between a realist (me) and optimist vs a negative pessimistic.
Not too bad.
Agreed. I really thought he was going to be a good pick. That Tapper pick never working out was a disappointment.
BINGO !!!!!!!The Cowboys have drafted really well the past decade. Probably as well as any NFL team. That is the thing that has kept them an average to slightly above average team. The trouble is not in their drafting. The troubles has been not using trades and free agency to fill holes in the roster, signing extensions for players too early and for too much money, clinging to a head coach for 9.5 years who obviously was not the answer....i.e. most every thing else. But this offseason they seem to be improving on some of those things. We can hope....
Not too bad.

Switzer was a cowboys for 1 season and then got traded for a guy who didn’t make your 53. No one would ever make that pick again with hindsightSo I’ve got 10-3. That’s pretty good.
