Cowboys 50th Anniversary

I've heard it mentioned here and there. People have asked the question around here but no real answer.

The NFL is making a huge deal about the AFL teams but nothing about the Cowboys. And the team isn't doing anything either.

Does anyone have an answer? Are we doing anything? Are there rumblings around the circles that something is going to happen and we just don't know yet?

If 1960 is the first season, then 1969 is the 10th season. That makes 2009 the 50th season.

The Boys honored/commemorated their 25th Season in 1984, so in the interests of consistency, they should be celebrating their 50th this year. But good luck figuring Jerry out.

1. The AFL got it's start in 1960. Here's the proof.

1959, no AFL. Notice no Cowboys either.

Now let's look at 1960. Looky there. The Cowboys and 8 new AFL teams.

Now explain away these patches. Note they all say 1960. They all say 2009. And they all say 50.
