Zach may have gotten his money. Bravo. But I don't forget.

Lots of starters on this team underpaid and still playing on rookie deals hoping to get paid: Terrence Steele, Tyler Biadasz, CeeDee Lamb, Micah Parsons, Tony Pollard (franchise-tag).

He’s being paid more money right now than he was scheduled to be paid and more money than before he held out. He absolutely won. He received a pay increase. That’s exactly what he wanted by holding out…more money to be compensated closer to top players at his position he is.

Reasonable or not….it’s why holdouts do work contrary to what a few people here said
meh

Zack is 33 wanted that retirement Bag. Jerry pushed future $ into the front end and they agreed. Thats all this was. The extra year or 2 tacked on is meaningless. That $ was used already as of today. Keeps our Cap in great shape. Its a charade, the extension. It was just a means to take money from one pocket to another. Jerry and Stevie handled this very well.

Wait. I was being told without Zack "3rd trip to the buffet line" Martin we wouldn't even make the playoffs. I was lied to?
No because I think there was a good chance we didn't make the playoffs without him. The defense can only do so much. You have to be able to score. Hard to do when your QB keeps getting sacked and your RBs can't run.

The extra 4m per year certainly isn’t meh…that’s for sure. Big time meh to those who said holdouts don’t work tho ;)
Pressure is now on fat-butt to justify that extra 4 million per year, especially when you play between two guys who are looking for a second contract.

Andrew Whitworth played at an elite level until 40. If you knew Zach could play 6 more years at his current level, are you complaining? I think Zach has 4-5 more good years in him.

All you gotta say is, did you go to 3 straight STARTING Pro-Bowl selections after your last contract (no alternate's buddy), were you selected as 3 straight ALL-PROS at your position with all rankings saying you were top 3? If not.....go sit down and keep wishing.

I don't support a player holding out and failing to honor his own contract which has already made him a multi millionaire, but on the other hand I'm sure glad to see Martin back where he belongs! Let's go Zack! :flagwave::flagwave::flagwave:
But you re OK that owners can terminate non-guaranteed contracts at any time? (psst... that means not honoring the contract).

If you have morals, this should create an existential crisis. If not, you will keep posting.

Most of them I would not pay. Biadasz is probably the main reason the interior OLine gets bullied. Steele has been good but not great so unless he takes 11-13m I would accept drafting a replacement. And of course never extend a RB.

That basically leaves you Lamb and Parsons.

Difference being those guys except maybe Pollard near the beginning of their careers, and Martin near the end.

So relieved he'll now be able to make ends meet.

Kinda funny how Jerry caved to what Zach wanted. Jerrys front office always caves.
