Then fans like you would complain that they let the players dictate things.

Yeah true but even we know Jones is better at Safety because our Safeties are average at best in the NFL. Fans would complain if fans feel that the players' request is not what is best for the team.

The real question is can he be a good CB or is he a safety.

When we are starting the scouting combine and NFL types are still asking themselves that very question, that should be more than a little bizarre.

Weird, I do not remember anyone scratching their head wondering if Deion Sanders, Rod Woodson, Charles Woodson, etc. were going to be corners or safeties.

They all were more proven and had a lot more of a base to evaluate.

Personally, I would rather have a shut down corner. If your going to be a free safety you have to be a major ball hawk and hitter. No picks last season. Lets hope the kid has ball skills.

I think it is great he has the ability to play both CB and safety but glad to see the Cowboys put him at safety and hopefully leave him there so he can master the position instead of bouncing around.

Even a guy like Ronnie Lott was not asked to move back and forth, he moved from CB to safety and stayed

And that really scares me
dont think taking a safety in the 1st rnd back to back years is a great move myself

I am more concerned about the fit in the structure of Marinelli's system.

It does not exactly lend itself to being creative and putting mismatch chess pieces all over the defense and I am curious how now it would.

He needs to be at safety and keep him there so he can learn the position.

Ramsey and Jones would be great safeties, with Wilcox and Church making packages greatly expandable.

Until somehow replaced, no, they have value around the line of scrimmage and could make it possible to bounce Ramsey or Jones into a man-on-man. Very flexible.

and that's the beauty of drafting Ramsey.. our safety tandem would be tops in the league in a couple years and would be alot better than last years.

4m for Church to be a back-up would be blasphemy.

true and that's why he either takes a pay cut or just gets cut. we can find some player in free agency to do what he does to be honest. he was downright horrible this year.. especially in crunch time

Theyd be among the best from day 1 if Byron is as smart as we were told.
