Not sure they widened the gap considering they have to replace one of the best DTs in the league last year. The Eagles made the Super Bowl, lost one of their top DTs in Hargrave and replaced him with Carter. So it seems fair to say they likely didn't lose much ground ... although I doubt as a rookie that Carter is going to be on the same level that Hargrave is on right now.I also admit that the Eagles widened the gap in the division last night. Carter was one of four elite players in this draft (him, Anderson, Bijan, Bryce in that order). Nolan Smith also tremendous value and will be in a terrific situation in Philly.
We essentially replaced Carlos Watkins with Mazi Smith. They replaced Javon Hargrave with Jalen Carter. Our upgrade was greater. Of course, they also got to throw in Nolan Smith as an extra pass rusher, so that can be considered a bonus.I disagree, they did not widen the gap.
This is once again fan over reaction from the draft.
Eagles lost far more this off season than they gained...on paper of course, we need to see it on the field.
Dallas has not really lost anything but has gained. Figure that Quinn's back, Moore is gone. Made 2 very good trades, and brought back key pieces in the defense.
Eagles lost both OC & DC, 5 starters on defense. Their RB and 2 OL though one was a backup.
Yes they have some young talented players. But do these 2 draft picks make up for what they lost? I am not buying it at this point.
That is not the point. Just don’t suck up to every move they make is great, and every move Dallas makes suck. They dominated the NFC in the playoffs, and no contending team in the NFC has added better pieces than them. You'd have to be just sticking your head in the sand to not recognize this.

Honestly not sure. But I think going from center to guard is easier than guard to centerDoes he play both?
There are way too many factors during the season to pencil a team into the Superbowl. One or two major injuries can tank a whole season. They may have come close to winning last year, but close doesn't count. Donavan McNabbs Eagles dominated the NFC for several years. How many rings did he win? They dominated the NFC in the playoffs, and no contending team in the NFC has added better pieces than them. You'd have to be just sticking your head in the sand to not recognize this.
Its an unfortunate truth. They are being built with higher purpose than us.Maybe the Cowboys Mgmt isn’t concerned but I certainly am.
Their defense is being built to beat the Elite AFC QB’s in Super Bowl.
NFC should be a snap with best QB and defense.
Your not a fan? You have some line on a higher opinion? lolThat is not the point. Just don’t suck up to every move they make is great, and every move Dallas makes suck.
Maybe no team has added much, but they sure didn’t lose as much either.
Both Philly and SF lost more than any other NFC team. SF has actually lost quite a few players as well.
You can’t look at 2 players added vs 8 lost and say they are better. Plus Philly lost both OC and DC, and SF lost both as well.
But that is what fans do on here.
I don't think their D was exposed as much as it was future HoF coach Andy Reid totally outcoaching Gannon that second half, making him look like an incompetent fool. Many Eagle fans I know are quite happy that Gannon is gone. The reality is, you put your best 11 on the field. Can't play everybody at the same time. When you have a lot of blue chip guys on the sideline waiting for a turn to play, it may not play out so well, particularly when they need game tape and accolades for that next contract. The Eagles D was exposed by KC in the SB. That D was tops in the league. Any given Sunday.
But our loss of our OC is a great addition by subtraction.Your not a fan? You have some line on a higher opinion? lol
Philly lost some players but they have guys just as good about to replace them. Both Philly and SF are in great positions to replay their NFC title game clash. We lost our OC too. You sweating it? Neither are they.
I’m not sold on SF QB’s for entire season . We might see someone else emerge in NFC. Like a Detroit or NY, maybe a Seattle . LA might not be done yet. If any of them can get enough QB play and defense .Your not a fan? You have some line on a higher opinion? lol

Gannon was heralded as one of the best defensive minds in the game all year.I don't think their D was exposed as much as it was future HoF coach Andy Reid totally outcoaching Gannon that second half, making him look like an incompetent fool.
