Cowboys aren't worried about the Eagles

I'm not worried about the Eagles either. The media's crowned them after 1 good season where we still split two competitive games with them.

They blew their Super Bowl, lost some players and had to pay Jalen Hurts. No guarantee at all they'll be back.

Hurts isn't as good as his contract says he is. He had a good team around him, a tricky scheme based on a mobile QB and dependent on a great O-line to make it work. He's average in the pocket. 1-2 against the Cowboys. His lone win coming from a competitive game with Cooper Rush on the other side. The Boys beat him comfortably with Dak and a backup Andy Dalton.
In a forum filled with misinformed posts this may take the cake.

It’s not about that. It’s about evaluating in an unbiased format.

We are going to be the underdogs . It’s a role we can overcome .

Is anyone denying they will be the favorite?

It is biased to hands down declare Hurts the top qb in the division based off one years production. It's biased to go on about their defense without regard for the fact we may well have an even better D this season, or that they lost a coordinator and 5 starters.

I hear the same crap every year from yall. Philly is gonna be a problem, the Giants have passed us, Washington blaaa blaaa.

It's like the boy who cried wolf, and then you all disguise it as an unbiased take. Bs.

No it’s not. No other current NFC QB has been a MVP runner up . All we can do is evaluate current status . If you don’t like that , ok. But it is what it is. And please don’t lump me in with others . This isn’t an attempt to bash the Cowboys but simply tout the Egirls .

I’ll ask you again, are you in denial the Egirls will be the favorites .

Keep whining and being scared of a franchise we've beaten consistently in the Dak era. They had everything going for them last year, yet were only about dead even when matched up with Dallas.

Every year, you don't really know what's going to happen in the NFC East.

The Cowboys will worry about the Eagles at the appropriate time - during the season. Worrying about the Eagles during the offseason is just dumb, and useless. It is a waste of emotion. Worry about improving yourself during the offseason. Worry about opponents during the season.

Only in this fantasy land is getting to the Super Bowl "dead even" with us having another early exit from the playoffs.

There really is no defense in the draft unless you are stupid enough to trade up to prevent an opponent from getting a player they want. Do the best with your own picks and then play the games. The Eagles success in the draft is from accumulating multiple first round picks including some early ones. But there are no guarantees about any players. I am actually a little surprised the went defense with both of their 1st round picks.

At the same time, the Eagles did assemble a really good roster last year. They clearly value DL a lot.

btw, I am not completely sold on Nolan Smith. I think he dropped for legitimate reasons. He may be a classic tweener. He could still be a decent player but he could also be a misfit in the NFL. Like every draftee we will have to wait and see.
Right, think he was the most overrated/overhyped player in recent years. Runs like Tarzan plays like George!

Yes, the Cowboys are worried .. they just try to hide it.

But that's all good, fear tends to bring out motivation and the best in 'some' people.
Owners/Gms aren't "worried"

That's just not how they think.

It's a business,....

fans get worried.

The guru's said the same thing about them last year, and neither of their "stud picks" really did much, but our "overdrafted" guy had a really good season!
The best teams don't rely on rookies starting year 1.

They view the draft as a pipeline of talent, to be the core of their team 2 or 3 years down the road.

The best teams have their roster/starters set BEFORE the draft... then just add great players. If one or two happen to earn starting time in year 1, so be it. But the really good orgs don't need or worry about rookies playing much.

Loser teams rely on the draft to fill gaps or gaping roster holes, and measure draft success by how much playing time ur rookies got Year1.

If ur team is COUNTING on a rookie his first year, ur team isn't a good team.

I think you could go back through almost every Super Bowl team in the modern era and find a rookie that made a significant impact.

Not sure what that has to do with what I posted.

A team can not RELY or NEED a rookie to start or make a significant impact, and still have it happen, as a pleasant surprise.

I'm talking about teams that NEED rookies to fill starting spots the very year they're drafted. Those teams aren't doing it right.

They aren't going to admit to it but they should be. Their roster is loaded. Doesn't mean we can't beat them in a playoff game.
