Or is there a possibility of stealing a game from them before they hit their dominate stride?

I thought for sure that we would lose to the Browns early last season but their defense hadn't regained their dominant self yet.

We're breaking in new coaches across the board, Eagles breaking in yet another OC and replacing five or six starters, plus two o-linemen will be coming off surgery.

Might be a closer game than expected.
 
Jalen Carter will refuse to come back out of the locker room at halftime. Booker and Beebe are going to bury him.

Eagles always seem to drop a game early they shouldn't lose. One can hope.
 
tough way to open the season. Although you are playing with house money. Most think that is a lost game. Sometimes after all the celebration for winning a title it is tough to match that intensity. Athough on the other hand, who knows what type of resistance Dallas puts up. I hope our coach has a better first game than Campo did when he started his career off against the Eagles. Onside kick to start the game, I believe.
 
No one expects us to win. Road game.

I am fine with this as an opener. I don’t see a downside. If we lose as 99% of the world expects— we can get some valuable data points and evaluations done and improve moving forward.

If we happen to catch Philly being fat and sassy and not in their best form and actually sneak out with a W— it would be quite a confidence builder.

Would rather play in Philly earlier than later— so get it out of the way and move on lol
 
Might get lucky & catch them "hungover" or might get curb stomped to start the new year. Either way, there will be overreactions!!

The Cowboys are at a disadvantage for sure. The Cowboys have new coaches on offense and defense and since they don't play their starters in pre-season, it is unlikely they will have their ducks together for opening day.

But my expectation is that the Eagles will win the division again and Dallas will finish 3rd or 4th so it doesn't really matter when they play the Eagles.
