Profootball talk now reporting this. A big win to start the schotty era... although one can argue its been 30 years of shotty football.

I am fine with this as an opener. I don’t see a downside. If we lose as 99% of the world expects— we can get some valuable data points and evaluations done and improve moving forward.

If we happen to catch Philly being fat and sassy and not in their best form and actually sneak out with a W— it would be quite a confidence builder.

Would rather play in Philly earlier than later— so get it out of the way and move on lol

Really? so that's the way that's what you're going to stick with game one on a Thursday night after a long offseason after your entire coaching staff lots of players some players are going to be missing on the PUP list some very critical players all on defense and you think Jerry Said that in the short term. like it's all on the table just for one game ??

did he mean for the season the record not just head to heads as far as total team success versus failures yeah I don't think that's all on the line in game one can you be more delusional I mean did you have to say that because Jerry thinks and why not think about the record that Prescott has head to head against not only the Eagles but against Jalen Hertz the fact that Prescott went healthy from the start of the season to the end of the season hasn't had it one single losing season look at his record against the NFC East I think that's what Jerry meant....

Jerry says whenever Jerry wants to say how you feel you want to Actually no what he meant when he said it you could perceive it how you want I know what he meant and there's good reason for it but they're the Super Bowl champions and what do you want him to say that we suck in that we don't stack up against him that's not what any coach or player is going to say and that's for sure not what your owner and GM is going to say...

So let's calm down i'm putting all our eggs in game one baskets.

So if we win this game what are you gonna say are you gonna say then we stack up and we're gonna go to the Super Bowl are you gonna say it's only one game so it'll only be one game if we win but if we lose it means the whole seasons thrown out the door that is what a lot of you do and that is why it's annoying..

If the Eagles didn’t have Barkley, they never even would’ve made it to the playoffs. Yes the defense was good. But their offense was basically a one-man show.

No, we have so many former first round pics. Signed to one year deal great coaching for the younger guys. I can’t wait to see what this team looks like.

Ah that's a little short sighted my man they had one of the best offensive lines in football I mean it's top three at works they do have a really good quarterback he may not be you know elite but neither is Prescott yes Barkley during a regular season change in nature of that offense but that defense was more than great they absolutely shut down Patrick Mahomes and made him look like a rookie anytime the Eagles needed a bailout their defense got it for them it was a total team effort like I tell people around here stop blaming the quarterback stop blaming a couple of players with a head coach you need a super team to do super things at the right time and they did...

Look I hate the Eagles but you're really selling them short they put together a super team not a one man show... If all it took was a running back going off why didn't the Ravens even make it back to the championship game with Derek Henry he had an equally great season?

I mean I get why you would say that but I think maybe you just have not fully woke up and understand that the Eagles assembled a super team and that's why they won the Super Bowl saquan Barkley was a big part of that but when they took him away in the Super Bowl they threw the football pretty damn well they are one of the best team in the trenches and that's why there always be good...

It's not that I'm scared of them but they're a pretty complete team to call them a one man show is kind of odd..

Oh they would have made it to the playoffs would have they been far or won the Super Bowl that's debatable no one will really know because we don't have to know they are more than a 1 man show they were one of the most complete teams in the league last year especially in the trenches...

Well, they should they're the Super Bowl champions they're healthy and they're at home the Cowboys wear a seven-win team last year so that's how they go by everything no one knows how either one of these teams are going to look until after the game..

They won most of their games late in the fourth quarter, well that’s the NFL anyways. They wore the other team down and then Barkley had a day.

Funny how people just want to tear it down before it has even started. It's a new coach, a lot of new assistants and a ton of new personnel. Give them a chance to prove themselves.
