Oh yeah dude, Boulder/Denver is insanity. We actually priced a few houses here for ***** and giggles and our jaws dropped at what we COULD afford.

I live in Austin right now, so it's not the cheapest place in the world .

We priced a 5-10 year old 3br on a hill with a few acres at $325k. I **** you not.

Yep that's the only thing that keeps me from moving to Colorado, as I love the place. If I was smart I would have bought my aunt's house in Boulder 20 years ago for an embarrassingly low price. She sold it for 3 times the price she offered it to me for about 5 years ago and probably could have gotten 4 times the amount if she waited another 5 years.

Makes me wish I would have bought a house in Wyoming all those years ago also. It's heading in the same direction (just at a slower pace).

One of those lists where it's pasted on the window of a real estate agency? I remember seeing those and getting blown away by the prices in Silver City, NM.

Durango Colorado is a hunter's& fishermen's Paradise! it's a fantastic part of the country, I'd hit Tuba City AZ.and through Indian country while freighting floors north to the 4 corners A.O.,Mexican Hat Utah was several runs,,,My Mother was born in Cortez Colorado.

( tool thru the local "REZ" & take mental note of ALL the WASHINGTON Commanders shield decals on the pick up trucks back window glass:thumbup:)

I am currently in Durango, Colorado. Which is incredible by the way, you should all visit this paradise. Here on vacation and to propose to my GF (she said yes btw).

There is one thing, however that immediately stood out to me today while on the slopes--Cowboys jerseys everywhere! Sean Lee. Jaylon Smith. Emmit Smith. Dez. All the usual suspects were widely represented.

Maybe this is part of the problem where the FO accepts mediocrity because the team still has such a following, but I was impressed and taken aback by it.

Yeah, that's where we saw it, so we went in and talked to the guy and he showed us a few more in that range. One was a little trashy looking, but the other two were as nice as what I have now .
 
Congrats but I will give you some advice that my father gave me: It is better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. My parents are coming up on 50 years this August.

I feel you man. In the last three years we have driven to Gatlinburg Tenn, Lake Tahoe and now Durango, CO. Seen a lot of amazing sights we never would have otherwise. It's a haul, but its always been worth it. This time we brought our dogs and they've been in heaven .
