I just had to stop the Good Morning Football program I'd recorded on NFL Network. According to most of the crew, the Packers & Aaron "007" Rodgers have already won the game before it's even started. The Packers are the ONE team the Cowboys did not want to face. Now, they have to go up against a hot Rodgers who just cannot be stopped due to his "Golden Gun"-especially since the Cowboy's secondary is so much worse than the Giants, & he shredded them. It doesn't matter that his favorite receiver, Jordy Nelson, will probably miss the game-Rodgers can throw anyone open. It doesn't matter that the Cowboys thrashed them in their own house. This is a different Packers team, & a different Cowboys team. Hmmm, did we lose half of our players & no one told me?

After all of the genuflecting before the God Rodgers, former Lions WR Nate Burleson tried to play some of it down by talking up the Cowboys running game, offensive line, Dak Prescott, etc., but the rest of the crew would have none of it. It's a done deal. Here, I was planning a playoff party on Sunday. Guess I'll have to call it off now. Man, I thought for a moment that we had a chance.

All 38 of the Packers points came AFTER Nelson was injured so the Packers are much more equipped without him this season than last season when he was gone all year. It doesn't matter that the Cowboys thrashed the Packers in their house in week 6, they were playing some of their best football of the season riding a 4 game winning streak into Lambeau and got 4 turnovers in that game. The Cowboys are 2-2 the last month and haven't been playing as well as they were earlier in the season and the Packers and Rodgers are red hot riding a 7 game winning streak. We decided to mail in the season finale and pull Dak when he wasn't even looking that sharp vs Philly while the Packers got even hotter last week. Just like in 2007 while we've been sitting around during an off week after mailing in the season finale we have a hot team on the rise coming into our house that's playing their best football of the season.

Having to win out to make the playoffs has greatly benefited the Packers forcing them to stay focused and play hard, while wrapping things up early caused the Cowboys to ease up and start looking ahead to the playoffs. I said weeks ago wrapping things up early was probably the worst thing that could have happened to us. This is not the same two teams that played earlier in the season and the Cowboys are going to have to play their absolute best game of the season to have any chance of defending Aaron Rodgers in this game. Even in the first game he put up just short of 300 yards despite being clearly off his game.

That may be the only Aaron Rodgers we have a chance to defend on Sunday because the one that faced the Giants on Sunday may put up over 400 yards and 4-5 TD's. Not saying he will but it wouldn't surprise me if he's as hot as he was last week. Was really put off by the way we ended our season because we needed some momentum entering this game and we didn't give ourselves a chance to build any. We'll just have to see if we can flip the switch or the week off causes us to come in looking sluggish and if that happens we'll be down by 14 before fans even get comfortable in their seats.

Rodgers was clearly off his game when we played him because David Irving & Co. were clearly in his grill. We have had 2-3 DTs out the last 4 games, as well as some dinged up O-linemen. The only game we lost over that span that mattered, when we didn't have most of our best players on the sideline, was the usual slug fest with the Giants that went down to the wire. We have ALL of our players healthy for the first time all year now. No excuses, just results. The blessing of having those D-tackles out was that it allowed Malik Collins & Jack Crawford to play more & to shine even brighter. Now, we have Thorton, McClain, & Ty Crawford back, as well as perhaps D-Law & Mo Claiborne. We were playing some of the best defense in football when those interior linemen went down. So, I say, bring it Green Bay. The Boys are ready.

Really looking forward to the throttling we are going to hand them on Sunday. I'm not worried at all. This team has passed every test this year and I fully expect them to do the same on Sunday.

Rodgers was off his game in 2015 (checkout his numbers) and it carried over to this season early on. He was in a slump and many including Brett Favre were talking about how it happens to all QBs at some point. Some on this board were claiming he was done. lol We were playing great football when we played the Packers earlier in the season and that great play continued until the Giants snapped our 11 game win streak and it took some steam out of our sails. We struggled the next week at home against a Tampa team that didn't even make the playoffs. Against Detroit our D looked awful in the first half surrendering 21 points before we woke up in the second half.

It appeared to me once we locked up a playoff spot we started to shut it down some, while the Packers had to win out to make the playoffs. It kept them playing hard and now they and Rodgers are as hot as a firecracker. We'll find out if we're ready on Sunday because if we're not we may suffer the same fate the Giants just did. We're going to have to get physical defensively, apply steady pressure and put a lot of points on the board if we're going to have any chance of winning this game.

This is the playoffs. The 2nd round of the playoffs. These are good teams that can all win (Houston may be a partial exception since the Raiders were hampered). Why are you getting bothered that SOME people are picking the team you don't want to win? They are a very hot team with arguably the best QB in the game. They very well could win. They may not, but it's not like it's some stretch for people to feel they have a good shot.

Rodgers was off of his game without anyone in his grill (that wasn't really until the late 3rd/4th qtr.) He made many unforced errors that day.

You're going to be very disappointed if you're expecting us to "throttle" them. That's not happening this time around. If we win it's going to be a tight game that's going to have every Cowboys fan on the planet on pins and needles in the 4th quarter. If anyone gets "throttled" it will be us and our 26th ranked pass defense.

into our house... Now shout em' down.

You're extremely confident we're going to "throttle" them? I doubt that! lol To have any chance to "throttle" them we're going to have to hope the same Aaron Rodgers from week 6 shows up and we can come away with another 4 turnovers. Dak may have to better his 3 TD performance he had the first time against them.

Not sure what you guys are watching but the shows I am watching has most people taking the Cowboys. And as a Packer fan, I can absolutlely understand why they would. The Cowboys have the ingredients to beat them with their great running game and an efficient Dak. Whoever wins the turnover battle will win this game. Last game the Packers gave it up four times and won but two TDs. This game will be decided by the turnovers. If there are no turnovers by either team, the the team with the ball last will win it.

Don't know why you spend time posting on this board if you're a Packers fan. Nothing wrong with it but I wouldn't invest almost 2000 posts on a board of a team that I don't pull for. I know others post on other teams boards but I wouldn't invest much time doing it.

Same reason Risen is an Eagles fan and has tens of thousands of posts. More then likely live in mom's basement and are unemployed or in college.

These are the same folks who said Eli was going to get hot and destroy the Packers because he did it twice before. Did they not realize this is the same Eli who had a horrible year and who is now 36 years old and 5 years removed from the "Great" game he had in Green Bay. I think we have young guys who won't blink twice about being in the spotlight. We can run the ball on Green Bay for sure. That said, the great teams we had in the 90s passed to get the lead and then relied on Emitt and the O-Line to demolish the other team late in the game. I sorta hope we come out throwing. We have a great offense and we shouldn't be one dimensional.

Last week NFL Network had their Giants love-fest. Oops.

This week it's the Packers love fest. Dallas beat the Packers up in Green Bay in October, but that doesn't matter. Aaron Rodgers forgot how to play football until week 12. Or so I've heard.

Sorry, NFL Network. The Cowboys winning is going to throw a major wrench into your programming plans.
Yep it didn't matter who won the game on Sunday. The narrative was going to be the same. The Cowboys can't beat the red hot Giants who beat them twice this year or the Cowboys can't beat the red hot Packers who are a different team than when Dallas dominated them in their own backyard.

NFL network, ESPN, all of them already had the narrative written before the game end.

I truly think we'll win but it's going to be a close fight till the 4th qtr and then their defense will collapse.

I think we will handle them with ease. You seem to be really hung up on the word throttle. If you watched the Giants/Packers game last week you had to have noticed a lot of missed opportunities by the GMEN. 2 different touchdowns dropped in the end zone. Beckham dropped another one in the first half that would have easily put them in a scoring position. That's a minimum of 17 points for you scoring at home. Even with that it was a 1 point game with 2 minutes left in the third quarter. From what I have seen from our team this year I think put in the same position we take advantage of those plays. With a comfortable lead we can run clock, like we've done all year long, and control the game.

Also why you feel the need to be a jerk to the Packers fan? If he wants to post on this board let him. Doesn't cost you anything

I'm not the one who used the word "throttle" you did. You don't know what throttling an opponent is anymore than you know what being a jerk to someone is. How was I being a jerk to that Packers fan? I simply asked why he posted on our board so much if he's a Packers fan. I said there's nothing wrong with it but most opposing fans who've submitted a number of posts here are fans of a team in the NFC East. As for the game on Sunday if we win it won't be with "ease" and you can quote me on that. If we win it's coming down to the 4th quarter. Some of you keep thinking back to the first game in week 6. The Packers and Rodgers are a much better team now, try taking your FAN cap off and open your eyes.

The Giants D came to play on Sunday and got shot full of holes by Rodgers. We could only manage 29 points in 2 games against that defense and Rodgers put up more points than that on them in 3 quarters. Anyone who's saying we're going to "throttle" the Packers and win with "ease" is just being a FAN. Our D isn't good enough to allow us to win with ease. Rodgers will keep Green Bay in this game regardless how well we play unless he has a miserable day which I don't anticipate him having.

The Packers "ran the table' against six teams that ended the season a combined 46-49-1.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys six opponents ended their season a combined 52-43-1.

And yet, it was the Packer's impressive "run" that prepares them better for this division playoff game.

Where , during these six games, did the Packers obtain a defense? Their strong point is against the run and the Cowboys showed them how impressive that was. Their passing defense? Please!

How prepared is their defense when the last 3 opponents had over 400 yards offense. 70% of their turnovers during that time were from two games, including the one where Russell Wilson had his worst throwing day in his career.

Now their offense is banged up coming into The Cowboys stadium.

Rodgers is going to spend the vast majority of the game sitting on the sidelines modeling his bad beard day.
