If you watched the Giants/Packers game last week you had to have noticed a lot of missed opportunities by the GMEN. 2 different touchdowns dropped in the end zone. Beckham dropped another one in the first half that would have easily put them in a scoring position. That's a minimum of 17 points for you scoring at home. Even with that it was a 1 point game with 2 minutes left in the third quarter. From what I have seen from our team this year I think put in the same position we take advantage of those plays. With a comfortable lead we can run clock, like we've done all year long, and control the game.

I don't live in the world of excuses and apparently you do. Missed opportunities are part of the game and the Giants have no one to blame but themselves. You can go through any loss a team has had and find missed opportunities. If you miss opportunities in the playoffs they usually end up costing you. If you're going to win a championship you can't have a bunch of blown opportunities because at least one will come back to haunt you. What excuses do you have for the Giants defense being shredded in the second half? We're better offensively than the Giants but they're better defensively so our best defense is going to have to be our offense maintaining the ball. We're going to need long, time consuming drives to keep Rodgers off the field as much as possible and we need to end those drives with TD's.

We have to limit the costly penalties we've had this season that's put us behind the chains and negated some big plays. Dak's had 2-3 TD's called back due to penalties. We have a better chance of winning a 27-21 game than a 33-38 game because we have a rookie QB. A high scoring shootout is going to favor a veteran QB with a lot of playoff experience who's thrown 40 TD's this season than a rookie QB starting their first playoff game that has 23 passing TD's. Although Dak has had a great season and has a bright future ahead of him, Rodgers gives the Packers an edge due to his elite passing skills and his playoff/championship experience.

I appreciate your long winded response. My point was the Giants missed several key opportunities and that is why they lost an extremely winnable game against a very beatable team. Everything this team has shown me this year makes me think given similar opportunities on Sunday we will win with ease. And yes I'm aware you disagree.

It took you 2 days to come up with that response? The Giants lost because they gave up well over 300 yards in the second half as Rodgers performed surgery on their defense. Notice how you went from claiming the the Cowboys will "throttle" the Packers to the Cowboys will win with ease? Keep backpedaling. LOL You're right I disagree, if we win it will be a tough game that will come down to the 4th quarter.

It's going to be a tough game. A lot tougher than earlier this year. A very hot Rodgers vs a rookie, any rookie.. is going to be hard to overcome. We will need to score at least 30 to have a shot. I am confident we will win but this is in no way a gimmie game or a cake walk.
Damn, and here I didn't think Dak and Rodgers would be on the field at the same time. Oh well, I guess there's always next year.

All 38 of the Packers points came AFTER Nelson was injured so the Packers are much more equipped without him this season than last season when he was gone all year. It doesn't matter that the Cowboys thrashed the Packers in their house in week 6, they were playing some of their best football of the season riding a 4 game winning streak into Lambeau and got 4 turnovers in that game. The Cowboys are 2-2 the last month and haven't been playing as well as they were earlier in the season and the Packers and Rodgers are red hot riding a 7 game winning streak. We decided to mail in the season finale and pull Dak when he wasn't even looking that sharp vs Philly while the Packers got even hotter last week. Just like in 2007 while we've been sitting around during an off week after mailing in the season finale we have a hot team on the rise coming into our house that's playing their best football of the season.

Having to win out to make the playoffs has greatly benefited the Packers forcing them to stay focused and play hard, while wrapping things up early caused the Cowboys to ease up and start looking ahead to the playoffs. I said weeks ago wrapping things up early was probably the worst thing that could have happened to us. This is not the same two teams that played earlier in the season and the Cowboys are going to have to play their absolute best game of the season to have any chance of defending Aaron Rodgers in this game. Even in the first game he put up just short of 300 yards despite being clearly off his game.

That may be the only Aaron Rodgers we have a chance to defend on Sunday because the one that faced the Giants on Sunday may put up over 400 yards and 4-5 TD's. Not saying he will but it wouldn't surprise me if he's as hot as he was last week. Was really put off by the way we ended our season because we needed some momentum entering this game and we didn't give ourselves a chance to build any. We'll just have to see if we can flip the switch or the week off causes us to come in looking sluggish and if that happens we'll be down by 14 before fans even get comfortable in their seats.
You should go ahead and hide in your safe space snowflake. I sure as hell would hate to have a wimp like you watching my back.

I'm not the one who used the word "throttle" you did. You don't know what throttling an opponent is anymore than you know what being a jerk to someone is. How was I being a jerk to that Packers fan? I simply asked why he posted on our board so much if he's a Packers fan. I said there's nothing wrong with it but most opposing fans who've submitted a number of posts here are fans of a team in the NFC East. As for the game on Sunday if we win it won't be with "ease" and you can quote me on that. If we win it's coming down to the 4th quarter. Some of you keep thinking back to the first game in week 6. The Packers and Rodgers are a much better team now, try taking your FAN cap off and open your eyes.

The Giants D came to play on Sunday and got shot full of holes by Rodgers. We could only manage 29 points in 2 games against that defense and Rodgers put up more points than that on them in 3 quarters. Anyone who's saying we're going to "throttle" the Packers and win with "ease" is just being a FAN. Our D isn't good enough to allow us to win with ease. Rodgers will keep Green Bay in this game regardless how well we play unless he has a miserable day which I don't anticipate him having.
Our D was good enough to finish the season giving up the 4th fewest points in the entire league. That matters!

What we did during the regular season doesn't matter, the playoffs are different.

Not really. It's exactly the same game. There's more at stake obviously, but it's still a football game. It's only "different" if you let it be.

In a do or die game it's not the same everything is amped up several notches in the playoffs. Regular season pressure isn't the same as playoff pressure. Playoff pressure is at a different level. Anytime you lose and it's wait until next year it's different.

The Packers "ran the table' against six teams that ended the season a combined 46-49-1.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys six opponents ended their season a combined 52-43-1.

And yet, it was the Packer's impressive "run" that prepares them better for this division playoff game.

Where , during these six games, did the Packers obtain a defense? Their strong point is against the run and the Cowboys showed them how impressive that was. Their passing defense? Please!

How prepared is their defense when the last 3 opponents had over 400 yards offense. 70% of their turnovers during that time were from two games, including the one where Russell Wilson had his worst throwing day in his career.

Now their offense is banged up coming into The Cowboys stadium.

Rodgers is going to spend the vast majority of the game sitting on the sidelines modeling his bad beard day.

We don't know yet just what kind of playoff QB Dak will turn out to be. Everyone assumes AR will destroy us, but what if Dak goes out and destroys GB on Sunday. Everyone says that just won't happen because he's a rookie whilst AR is an experienced veteran. But Dak is great QB having a great rookie season. Who's to say he won't be able to match what AR can do on Sunday. Or even beat it.

The Cowboys beat themselves twice this season against the giants and gave the last game of the season to the iggles. We haven't been beat and it's not going to start with the Packers and their over rated beat up offense.
