If you watched the Giants/Packers game last week you had to have noticed a lot of missed opportunities by the GMEN. 2 different touchdowns dropped in the end zone. Beckham dropped another one in the first half that would have easily put them in a scoring position. That's a minimum of 17 points for you scoring at home. Even with that it was a 1 point game with 2 minutes left in the third quarter. From what I have seen from our team this year I think put in the same position we take advantage of those plays. With a comfortable lead we can run clock, like we've done all year long, and control the game.
I don't live in the world of excuses and apparently you do. Missed opportunities are part of the game and the Giants have no one to blame but themselves. You can go through any loss a team has had and find missed opportunities. If you miss opportunities in the playoffs they usually end up costing you. If you're going to win a championship you can't have a bunch of blown opportunities because at least one will come back to haunt you. What excuses do you have for the Giants defense being shredded in the second half? We're better offensively than the Giants but they're better defensively so our best defense is going to have to be our offense maintaining the ball. We're going to need long, time consuming drives to keep Rodgers off the field as much as possible and we need to end those drives with TD's.
We have to limit the costly penalties we've had this season that's put us behind the chains and negated some big plays. Dak's had 2-3 TD's called back due to penalties. We have a better chance of winning a 27-21 game than a 33-38 game because we have a rookie QB. A high scoring shootout is going to favor a veteran QB with a lot of playoff experience who's thrown 40 TD's this season than a rookie QB starting their first playoff game that has 23 passing TD's. Although Dak has had a great season and has a bright future ahead of him, Rodgers gives the Packers an edge due to his elite passing skills and his playoff/championship experience.
