Let's play their game of buy or sell. I'll post the statements they make in the video and you tell me if you buy or sell it.

One note: At 7:10 of the video Jane says T.Y. Hilton wants to return to Dallas.

On to the buy or sell....

1) When Mike McCarthy says he wants to run the ball more and wants their identity to be defense he's actually saying he doesn't trust Dak Prescott.

2) Jalen Tolbert and Kelvin Joseph should both be on the bubble heading into training camp.

3) Barring injury Chuma Edoga will be the starting LG in week 1.

4) The defense needs Leighton Vander Esch just as much as it used to need Sean Lee.

5) Sam Williams will have more sacks in 2023 than DeMarcus Lawrence.

- If we get injuries, absolutely.

1) When Mike McCarthy says he wants to run the ball more and wants their identity to be defense he's actually saying he doesn't trust Dak Prescott.
- Sell. I wouldn’t say Dak is 100% Mr.Reliable. But, unless you’re Mahomes, a great winning formula is running the ball and playing good defense.
2) Jalen Tolbert and Kelvin Joseph should both be on the bubble heading into training camp.
- Sell. I’d give them one more year and way too soon to give up on Tolbert.
3) Barring injury Chuma Edoga will be the starting LG in week 1.
- Buy. Tyron will get hurt eventually forcing Tyler to LT.
4) The defense needs Leighton Vander Esch just as much as it used to need Sean Lee.
- Buy. LVE is the Terence Steele of the defense. Under appreciated and the team takes a step back when he’s out.
5) Sam Williams will have more sacks in 2023 than DeMarcus Lawrence.
- Sell. Just not enough snaps. Tank, Micah, Armstrong and Fowler.

1. Buy, how could anyone trust Dak?
2. Buy, Joseph is the worst draft pick of the last 4 years.
3. Sell, they'll move Tyler Smith there until Tyron's inevitable injury.
4. Buy, he was one of the better players on the team last year and we have little behind him.
5. Buy, Lawrence is near the end.

I'll say it for him - I don't trust Dak. He led the league in picks in his 7th season, stunk in the divisional round (again), and has 2 wild card wins in 7 seasons.

I'd love to see the Cowboys win another SB, but as my eventual mortality inches ever closer I'm kind of done with making excuses for players who fall short.

1) Sell.
With only adding Deuce Vaughn, I don't see us running more than we did last year.

2) Buy on Tolber. Sell on Kelvin.
Tolbert did absolutely nothing last year, including the preseason. Was not impressed at all. I think there is a real possibility he doesn't make the 53 man roster. He'll need to have a huge turnaround this offseason

Kelvin is a solid special teamer and he's still on his rookie deal. He can be CB4 and even though he's been a disappointment in his few opportunities on the field, I don't think he's been a major liability. Think he still has time to improve. Better be on his best behavior on and off the field though.

3) Sell
Either Steele or Smith will be starting LG.

4) Buy
LVE helps the defense a lot, especially in the passing game.

5) Buy
Williams will be a lot better than he was last season by the halfway point of this year. Plus he should be seeing more snaps because DLaw isn't getting any younger.

And he led the league in picks only playing 12 games. I only wish Dak was the QB the jock sniffers think he is.

Sell on running the ball more and buy on the identity of the team being defense. I just don't see how we maintain a consistent run game with a suspect oline and suspect runningbacks outside of Pollard. We invested a lot into the defense to make it our identity.

2) Jalen Tolbert and Kelvin Joseph should both be on the bubble heading into training camp.

Sell on both; Joseph is a key special teamer and Tolbert needed a year to adjust.

3) Barring injury Chuma Edoga will be the starting LG in week 1.

Sell; I just don't see it. Dude is a depth piece at best IMO.

4) The defense needs Leighton Vander Esch just as much as it used to need Sean Lee.

Sell; The defense took a hit when he was hurt at the end of the year but I think we invested alot into making our run defense better. Sean Lee was the best player on our defense at times. When he was hurt our defense was like bottom of the league bad. LVE makes the run defense better but he isn't as important and Lee was.

5) Sam Williams will have more sacks in 2023 than DeMarcus Lawrence.

Sell; Too many mouths to fees and Lawrence will get way more playing time.

A bash dak over Dallas fan would interpret that as he doesn't trust dak. By the same token he told dak to let it rip. So which is it.

What he actually meant is when you have a lead, up by 14 and are running the ball well, don't go pass happy to try and score more. He said That too about Moore. He did say he understands that as an OC you want just score, but sometimes you just have to run the damn ball.

I am torn on LVE. He shows up so.etimes and at times he is totally lost and for a 250 lb LB he gets pushed easily at times. He needs to be more physical. The fact they didn't sign him Ling term is them admitting they want to upgrade the position.

Not sure about edoga. If that's the case we get a big hole on the left side and center spot. Usually we're a 3 tech lines up. That spells trouble.

I hope you are right about Williams. I think all DEs will get more chances. Mazi is key. Stop the run. Force the other team into passing situations. He is not a sack numbers kind of guy, but can push the pocket not allowing QB to step into pocket, which gives opportunities to others. He opens things for rest of the DEs...

  1. Sell, we will use play action and screen passes more so in that regards it’s built around the run game.
  2. Buy on Joseph, sell on Tolbert, he’ll get more time.
  3. Sell, Tyler Smith until Tyron's injury, then Farniok.
  4. Sell, Snake was more important
  5. Buy, Sam Williams’ ceiling is double digits, D-Law won’t get more than 7.

1) Sell - it has nothing to do with Dak. I din’t think anybody thinks Shannahan doesn't trust his QBs and his team’s identity is running the ball and defense.

2) Straddle - sell that Tolbert is on the bubble after only 1 year. But buy that Bossman Fat is.

3) Hedged sell - I think Smith will be the starting LG. I’m just not sure whether Tyrone will be forced to the right side because Steele isn’t ready, in which case Tyler will start at at LT.

4) Buy right now

5) Buy - Tank’s role is not sacks. Buf he helps others get sacks.

I think that there is a good chance that Joseph is toast. If not, he should be.

Umm there is this guy from Michigan that we drafted in the 2nd Rd that everyone around here is trying to demean by calling him a "RUN BLOCKING TE" (so butt hurt they will not even mention his name) and there is this Fullback from the corn fields that we just gave guaranteed money to

Duece was not the only one added although he is a huge part

You are underestimating Duece and the Offensive Line

What is so terrible about that Unit . . . it is mind boggling the way fans describe it as a weakness . . . and Duece is unknown not suspect. The Man produces . . . Will He in the NFL? No one is for certain but to assume He will not continue in his development is wrong

It appears to me that His skill set will translate to the NFL and if it does He will be a Huge weapon. . . He hits the holes (no matter how small) and forces defenders to take odd angles with no power. Arm tackles or they are grasping at air . . .And on the odd occasion some on is able to square up on Him, He is able to take the huge hits and stay in the game

Except here in Dallas Pollard and Him will keep each other fresh

Luepke is also a Dawg that will factor into carrying the rock

And Schoonmaker will factor into the lanes created

Running game will be strong and it will help Dak and compliment the defense

People are overrating Luepke. He’s a player that’s still an underdog. He might make the roster but it’s premature to have already carved out a role for him with any sort of certainty.

1) Don't know if he doesn't trust Dak.....but he certainly knows Dak is very limited and not gonna get better. He's almost 30, so we've seen the best of him already. Not as mobile as 5 years ago, not as accurate, and defenses have gotten into his head. He is a highly paid bus driver.

2) Tolbert and Joseph should be on the bubble with the guys coming up behind them. Joseph an utter failure, those that say he is a solid special teamer.....Dallas can get that from someone else. Not that special. If they keep him, it's based only on cap issue. $2.1m this year. Save more next year when cut. And you know how the Jones' hate to pay and not get play. Tolbert is irrelevant. Enough said.

3) Tyron will start at LG, and after he gets hurt it's anybody's guess, probably Edoga by default and experience. Hope he doesn't suck.

4) LVE will have to kick it up a notch on his run defense inside the tackles, stick his nose and neck in there. Better DT play should help him. He is no Sean Lee, more like Sarah Lee. But they signed him for another year so we stuck.

5) Sam Williams is a hoss and provided he contains his WWE antics and plays within himself, should have more PT and thus more sacks than DLaw who is on the downside of his career.

oh yeah, and is Jane Slater single? Asking for a friend.

1) Buy - Mike saw how things went when QB1 was hurt, and Rush drove the bus while the Defense controlled the game.

2) Sell - Tolbert n Joseph are young, premium draft picks they'll get another season of opportunity.

3) Sell - I feel like Edoga is backup, and not one of the best 5.

4) Sell - LVE doesn't have a Lee type of impact imo.

5) Buy - Sam is too talented to be held back from opportunity.
