"Ground shattering contributors"... ?

I missed those people's posts I suppose.

I'm just looking merely for players that were on the bubble with their preseason team by anyone's measure.

Silly me, I suppose.
Who would suggest?
And who would cut be instead?

I'm not saying these guys will even stick, but I'm pretty sure McClay has a fairly in-depth database on all of the players out there, and certainly the ones we added.

For Derwin James? I would have traded a 4th yea. Is that a serious question?
So you lose our on two positions of need for one? The logic doesn't make sense to me especially for a guy who fell. I get why guys would do it because he's a name but I think LVE and Gallup/Armstrong is better for what we need. Far too early to tell.

I said I would give up one. Armstrong for James sounds good to me. We are stacked at defensive end. Have you seen our current group of safeties?

You are absolutely right. Those 2 pickups will definitely be the icing on the cake. We are pissing away our chance to do something with Dak and Zeke on rookie contracts. Can you imagine the guys we will sign when we have to pay both of them.
Well...we aren't signing anyone anyway so it may be just more of the same lol.

It's not just giving up on. You would give up two. You'd trade LVE and Gallup or Armstrong. We aren't stacked at defensive end especially with Lawrence, Gregory and Irving having suspensions on their resume. And I don't think Woods or Heath are bad players. Having a good pass rush will benefit us. I'm just not in the business of trading two prospects for one prospect. We need all the picks we can get.

I don't disagree.

Again, again... speaking only for myself... I'm not saying McClay and Company don't know what they're doing.

I'm only saying I'm trying to figure out what they're thinking, and that, because it is not readily apparent that these are guys who performed even good enough to be considered possible keepers on their previous teams.

It's a discussion board. So, we discuss this kind of thing. Nothing wrong with that, imo.

This is the one that bothers me more

Maybe we don’t know something that they do. Look they cut him to get down to the 53, then didn’t resign him when he cleared waivers. That says they wanted to move on for whatever unknown reason.
