Because of past reputation, and things that happened nearly 20 years ago. The same way a broken down Monte Kiffin got a job here after being terrible at USC. Garrett and the Joneses don't really know much in the way of coaches, so they simply hire a name that they know and trust them implicitly. And in our case, they allowed Marinelli to destroy our defensive line.

just listening to 105.3 nobody is saying they signed him. sounds like they still debating him and Snacks.

Sheesh I wanted us to draft Poe instead of MOstly injured Claiborn and petitioned for it as many others were saying he was just a work out warrior and would not make it in the NFL . The only myth this dosent dispel is Jerry closing the barn door after the horse is gone .

Why dose this franchise have to always go the long way around when it comes to team building
For yrs the Oline was devalued then when Romos back was shot Jerry decide to invest .

For yrs coaching was a devalued after thought , then all of a sudden after we waste our stars rookie contracts with substandard coaching its time to get an NFL coaching staff .

Now after we let a washed up coach get rid of 1st rd talent and continually have seen our defense fail in big moments because the middle of our line was LIGHT IN THE *** we decide to add some well aged beef .

SWELL!!!! FINALLY!!!!
