I know each year is different in regards to teams. Injuries are huge especially to the QB position. Based on our schedule next year, I think we are closer to 6-10.

Seattle
San Fran
New Orleans
Arizona
Chicago
Indy

I think are better than we are. Philly will be tough and the Giants played us tough this year.

I see us beating:

Jax
Tenn
Houston
Wash x 2
NYG x 1
Philly x 1

at best we finish 7-9. I don't see how the defense can improve that much in one year. I think Ware is done, even though he could be brought back, I don't see him being that much better than this year. So who plays the DL? Lee can only be counted on for 11 games max. Will Carter, Mo, Carr, Wilcox improve from last year? Way too many questions on defense to expect a 10 win team.

Good points...............with a harder schedule, a tight cap, and our head coach still in training................just dont see double digit wins next year.

Didn't say we're good, said we could have been 11-5.

Simple mistakes caused us to blow leads against Det and GB, there's 10. Not throwing the pick against Den or getting a stop against KC late, and there's a good chance we win at least one of those games. There's your 11. Hardly unrealistic.

Dallas only lost 2 games to non-playoff teams, and both were in contention right up until the end.

It goes both ways................if that 4th down pass in Washington is incomplete, thats a loss................if we dont score a TD in the final mins of the Minnesota game, thats a loss.........if Bailey misses the FG against the Giants, thats a loss.

You cant just start changing loss to wins by saying if this play or that play was different without considering if one or two plays were different the other way, a couple of those wins become losses.

So if we would've pulled out every close game we played this year we could be 11-5?? Is that what you're saying? We also were 4 or 5 plays from losing to the Vikings and Commanders. It goes both ways. We are 24-24 last 3 years. They are what they are; mediocre. No shot at 11-5 this year.

can't really disagree with this either

I know this isn't going to be very popular but I think Romo is on a sharp decline. He's taken too many hits and you can see it in his play. I know Jerry will play him until the Wheels fall completely off because he screwed up and paid him "Elite" money. I bet they don't even consider a QB in the first 3 rounds which will be stupid.......

I'll give you the Detroit game...

But what other games would have we won if the defense was better? People tend to forget that our offense was pretty anemic this year. The stats don't do it justice, they were flat out terrible in some games - constantly going three and out. If your defense is always on the field, then it's pretty hard for them to have any sort of sustained success.

Kansas City, Denver, Green Bay, and Detroit.

Kansas City only scored 17 points.

Denver, we scored 48 and they scored 51. That game was just an anomaly of our team. The game came down to our offense being able to march down the field and win, and what did they do? Turn it over.

Green Bay, Romo threw two costly interceptions with the game still in hand. Our offense scored 10 points in the second half...can't blame that on the defense.

And yes, I agree with you on the Detroit game.

Yea, we could have been 6-10. I never said otherwise.

I said I think we were closer to 11-5 than that.

with the team 31 million over the cap, this team is heading in the wrong direction with an aging core, I suspect they're heading downward towards 6-10 next year..

With rapid decline of star players health like Ware and Romo I fear the 5-11 years are close at hand.

Some think the arrow is trending up and we can be elite with just one or two more players. Which side are you on?

6 and 10 for the reasons you gave...
