it doesnt matter.......remember when we hosted the lowly Lions in the last game a few years ago and all they did was bend us over and make us their female dog....

how about when we lost to the crappy skins....got the living crap beat out of us.

lately it doesnt matter if the team is good or bad, we still cant beat em come December

Thank you. Spot on.

I also recall a handful of late-season losses to some pitiful New Orleans teams over the years (Quincy led one, Bledsoe or Vinny the other maybe?).

This team will start succeeding in December when it's good enough. The opponent, frankly, be damned.

November 15th, I will be there!

Back to back years though, being able to see us right in my own back yard, it's too good to be true. And crazy to think I'll walk through that Packer hate again, but pleasurably. Haha.

Well, it will be a crap shoot if I get to watch any of the 5 1:00 PM EST games :banghead:. Hopefully they get changed to the later games. :crossed:

Just get Sunday Ticket, its the only way to fly. Once you get a taste, you'll never go back.

Not gonna read through the whole thread so this may have already been stated multiple times but...we don't play our 2nd divisional game until the 2nd week in November.

Well now that I've had an evening to think about this schedule and how rough it is I've come to this conclusion.

#1: The always thinking positive homer in me sees a 11-5 season where we get a playoff win this year. That's just how I'm going to approach this.

#2: The realistic fan in me can easily see us finishing 8-8, or worse, because realistically I could see us very easily losing 4 of our last 5 games based on the fact that we've now been terrible in December and January, even against really bad teams, for like a decade now and at least 3 of those teams will probably be playoff contenders, if not 4 of them. While I want us to have to earn the playoffs, and we certainly will do that with a schedule like this, the NFL Schedule makers certainly did us absolutely no favors.

My question is this now though....

Let's say the Cowboys finish...4-1 down the stretch but lose in the playoffs, would people be extremely upset with that given that final 5 game stretch?

I mean obviously the goal is to win in the post season, without a doubt, and I'd love to see that happen. But honestly, looking at that stretch, we're pretty much playing playoff games from the game after Thanksgiving on and if we could somehow finish 4-1 down the stretch I'm not sure I'd be to awfully upset with them if they lost in the playoffs after that.

Lets not forget that Jerry purposely arranged to play the Ravens in December because it looked like a gimme game to close Texas Stadium with. Its pretty much impossible to tell how the schedule looks like in December until we get to that point. Zorn could be a lame duck head coach by that point and the Eagles might be kicking off the Kolb era with McNabb and Andy Reed at each others throats.

Possibly...and that still, by our recent history, wouldn't matter. We've struggled late in the season even against piss poor teams like Detriot a couple years ago, the Saints a few years before that. It's really not mattered rather the teams were good, or bad, as of late we've just been piss poor down the stretch.

That's exactly what I was thinking. You just never can tell.

All they can do is lace 'em up and play one game at a time.

There is NO WAY that this December's schedule is even close to the one we had last year! In fact, it's not even in the same ball park!

Last season, we played 3 of the 4 Conference title game teams, and the #1 seed in the NFC in December! So who are we worried about this year?

New York on the road will be tough, but as of now, they lost nearly every worthwhile reciever on there team. And after all, they still have Eli, and he didn't look too sharp last December either.

Chargers at home? This game, IMO, should be an "easy" win. 8-8 last season, got better when LT got hurt. Rivers is similar to Romo in that he'll throw a pick or two in seemingly everygame. Average recievers and defense.

At New Orleans? Between this one and the NY game, these are the two big ones. We are a totally different team then when they crushed us a few years ago... we are better. But they are not, they are the same team. And they are very inconsistent.

At Washington? Come on!!! We all know how this game SHOULD go... Yeah it'll be a tight game, but in the end we will prevail... See last years trip to Washington for an example...

Home Philly? REVENGE? We are a better team than Philly. They lost ALOT of key components from last year. And I think that this will be a down year for them again... With that said, they normally get hot this time of year... No one knows...

The point is that this schedule when compared to last seasons December is not EVEN CLOSE!!! We should go 3-2 or 4-1 after Thanksgiving, anything less is unacceptable!
