outside linebacker here is stacked.

Adding porter would be a terrible idea....and would never be considered by our front office.

I am sure mosely and galloway will debate it all spring though, pointing out how williams hasnt done anything yet or something stupid like that.

that is where the problem lies..I dont argue that one bit..I was being a tad bit facetious with my comments, however, I wouldn't be upset in the least bit if we landed peppers and made it work out..surely someone can figure out a way to have all 3 (peppers, ware, and spencer) on the field at the same time..

I get excited at that idea aswell, combined with Ratliff and Jenkins 5 elite players on 1 defense is outstanding, but Peppers would not be elite in Dallas.

Pains me to say it, but that is probably the truth..I still want it to work out lol

If he would come for a reasonable price and we lose Spears, I'd try him on LE, but I don't know if it would work.

he would be a terrible 3-4 end..we need to figure out a scheme that has 5 linebackers on the field..as our base lol

Am I the only one here who doesn't even like Peppers? We all know what a great athlete he is for his size, but he seems like a guy who is always struggling to live up to his potential. And while he isn't a bad guy, there's always something with him, whether it be his money, or a confessional to his teammates that he's going to start trying harder, or something.

We have the perfect strongside backer opposite Ware right now. He's young, he's cheap, he's under contract, he's becoming a top player, and he plays his *** off without complaining. Why would we ever want Peppers?

I can understand your stance on Peppers...To say the guy hasn't lived up to his potential is far from accurate in my opinion..

It wouldn't hurt to get some extra talented youth at MLB or OLB. Especially MLB.

When you run a 3-4 it never hurts to churn the bottom of the depth chart at those positions.

If McClain or Spikes falls in our laps than would anyone be upset if we pull the trigger?

I will answer the question first..No, I would not be upset in the least bit if we landed McClain..

I will now tell you that there is no way he falls to us..

My honest opinion, is that we need 2 more playmakers....1 at Safety and 1 at WR..if we can obtain BOTH of these needs this offseason we will be set..I am going to pray every single night (seriously) that Ogletree can become that WR...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!

The OL is a problem and it's going to get worse if we don't infuse some young talent there very soon. I am ready to go heavy OL in this draft.

Thank god for Doug Free or I'd be borderline frantic.

I don't refute this stance either..

Best case scenario and probably the most likely scenario given our situation with RW

Is we don't draft a WR or obtain another 1..and we bank on Ogletree and we go after a ballhawking safety and Oline depth..hopefully we can hit in all 3 areas..boy if ogletree can step up his game that would be beautiful

Yeah Skill players aren't the reason we aren't superbowl champs right now and if we don't hit on some young prospects this offseason than its going to hurt us bigtime in the very near future.

That being said i'll take a talented Safety that makes plays.

As far as WR goes we are more than fine with what we have but i'll take a guy like Shipley or Ford who you can possibly get in the 3rd round and they can find a role in this offense.

We don't need starters @ WR. Just guys who can make plays with limited opportunities and bring something to our return game.

Id be happy with McClain or Spikes at 27. That said, I think McClain will be gone. Teams like the Giants have a need at ILB as well.

most people have McClain at 11-15 he wont make it past the NYG.

Spikes is projected to fall into the early second round, picks 33-35.

i think if spikes runs well at the combine/pro day he'll go a bit higher. maybe end of the 1st. i think he was negatively impacted by a groin injury and is now fully recovered.

in any case, we should get a very good player at 27. unfortunately, it may not be an OL at that spot - to the distress of many on this board . . . .

I wouldn't say there is no chance.

Every year 1 team throws off the entire 1st round of the draft.

Someone will reach or do something crazy and there will be all kinds of trades and players you had slotted at 1 spot will fall 5 to 10 spots further down than you thought they would.

McClain is the type of player worth trading up a few spots for too so keep that in mind if he does somehow slip.
