You trade down because that's the smart way to run the draft.

Not to make up a 4th for Mingo trade.
You can only trade down if there is a player someone just has to have and they fear that player won’t be there when they pick. That kind of trade typically happens on draft day. By draft day Jerry will have his heart set on some player and won’t trade any of his picks. The Dallas Cowboys will not be flipping draft picks with any team to gain significant picks. It is not going to happen.

They did it with Micah for just a few spots and still got him. It might not have been significant picks, but the Cowboys are not totally averse to trading down on day 1.

No you don’t trade down when your picking 15 or down.
Yes you do. At 15 you start getting into fringe 2nd round grades. Plenty of players in that pool.

If you are saying the Cowboys will be drafting at 15, they won't be. It will be higher.

Extremely accurate.

“We had him much higher on our board and had some offers to move down, but couldnt pass on ______.”

Everyone is a bargain and they always brag on it, with no thought whatsoever that maybe the board wasn’t perfect.

This draft is deep in RB and DT. There is a very good chance we could get the DT we need in the first. There are at least four of them that would make the D a lot better. Not all of them will be gone even at 17

Sanders, Ward and Hunter are seemingly going to make up the top 3. After that it’s hard to say.

IMO Dallas goes 1-2 to finish and ends with a pick around 11 or 12.
Not sure who we beat.

Bucs are hot, Eagles will be batting for the 1 seed and the Commanders will likely clinch the 7 seed if they beat us (barring a collapse)

We will end up with a WR.
If it’s McMillan I’m not gonna complain. That’d be a great pick. He is a Mike Evans, AJ Green receiving talent.

I like Burden’s skillset but I’m a bit weary about his lack of production this season. But he has speed you can’t teach and is a load to bring down.
