certainly this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, I long expected this team to go with only two quarterbacks on their 53 man roster this year....

I actually think that it will be Vaughan - I don't think that they want to kiss off a year of prior development invested in him.

Well it looks like they will both be invited to the PS.

And good teams cut their losses all the time. I just don't see "it" with Vaughn. But wouldn't mind him coming back to the PS. Just glad he didn't make the 53.

Can't say I disagree. My feelings are based off of how much time they gave Stephen McGee when it was very clear that he couldn't play.

I also don't think that there's much there either with Showers.

Didn't we lose to Colt McCoy last year?

That game cost us home field advantage in the playoffs.

Yep.
Romo being hurt had a lot to do with that.

Also, that particular game didn't cost us home field or even a bye. We had four losses, so any of them kept us from 13-3.
But I see your point in that anyone can lose any give day regardless of the QB.

Our QB situation is really becoming a concern. You have a last legs Romo and literally nothing in the pipeline for life after him. Not even a decent vet to get you through a handful of games because of injury.

This has to be high on the needs list next offseason.

You can't have a healthy guy (for the first time in 3 years) who was the best QB in football last year and call your QB situation "concerning."

You could use "lucky." Or "blessed." Or "fortunate." But "concerning?" No.

I guess the punt returner job is his to lose at this point? I wonder how much leeway they'll give him with ball security issues. It'll be interesting to see if he pans out for us.

Pretty good for a 7th round pick to make the 53.................congrats to the former Longhorn!!!

Yes. He looks like he could have a future with continued development.
Limited roster spots on both sides OG the ball--in this case they must see more future value in Swaim vs Vaughn

They've been drafting really well lately.

to be honest....if he can't handle punts there is really no point on him being on team. If he loses a punt in first few games I think he is off the team. Personally, I think he will do well and by end of season he has fully replaced Harris.

I still would like a 4th TB instead of a 4th TE. I just don't see the need.
