Cowboys waived RB Ben Malena.

A second-year undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M, Malena had a nice preseason, but couldn't crack the Cowboys' sorry running back corps. It's a sign he doesn't have much of an NFL future, though perhaps he'll land on the practice squad.

That wasn't Archer's words... it was the posters. Here is what Archer said:

I can see the Gardner cut...

He didn't have the burst nor the arm length for a 4-3 DE. I know there was experimentation as far as moving him inside but almost every DL except Gregory, Lawrence and Edwards is capable of playing a DT on a passing down... plus the two kids, Coleman & Bishop had strong camps as pure DT's...
