Dez Bryant has already begun rehabbing from his most recent foot and ankle surgeries, The Dallas Morning News reports. "We felt like the surgery went well and he's still getting back, it's still a process," Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said, "but we're glad we got it done almost immediately after the season so it's given him plenty of time to come back and all reports are that everything has been positive up to this point."

With a full offseason to rehab and recover, Bryant is expected to be at 100 percent heading into next season and look more like the receiver who averaged 91 catches, 1312 yards and 14 TDs between 2012 and 2014 than the one who played in only nine ineffective games in 2015 due to a broken foot.

MOBILE, Ala. -- Not even a month removed from a second bone graft to his surgically-repaired right foot, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was at Valley Ranch on Monday as he begins the early stages of his rehab.

“We felt like the surgery went well and he’s still getting back, it’s still a process,” coach Jason Garrett said. “We’re glad we got it done almost immediately after the season so it’s given him plenty of time to come back, and all reports is everything has been positive up to this point.”

Bryant had his initial surgery on Sept. 15 and missed the next five games. He played in seven games total this season and was limited to 31 catches for 401 yards and three touchdowns. He did not play in the final two regular-season games and was placed on injured reserve on Dec. 30.

The screw that was inserted to stabilize Bryant’s broken fifth metatarsal was not compromised in his return to the playing field. The second bone graft was performed to help strengthen the area. Bryant also had bone chips removed from his ankle that were causing discomfort.

Executive vice president Stephen Jones said the team will manage Bryant through the offseason as he recovers but they expect him to be ready to participate in the offseason program...

With Dez rehabbing, and if Romo has the surgery to insert the plate for his clavicle. I guess no off season timing on their part, again. Why did they wait so long for Romo to have this done. So his off season availability is in question again?

My understanding is that with the procedure to be accomplished, the actual recovery time is pretty short. With his back in very good shape, he should be ready during the off season prior to camp.

If Romo and Dez stay healthy we are in the playoffs next year, and it's as easy as that. I'm just not sure either one will stay healthy.

Dez might want to rehab the mental part of his game while he's at it.

Only news worthwhile posting is if Dez's rehab isn't going well. 99% of us assumed it would go well.

Won't make playoffs unless we upgrade defense. Hardy is gone. Defense all over needs help.

Romo's surgery only takes a few weeks to heal.

Sounds good about Dez's rehab going well. Hopefully, it'll result in his having a much improved year in 2016.

My impression as well. The fact is, this surgery is effective in preventing what we saw this year. In a football season, the recovery seems to take forever, but in the long offseason, the recovery time is comparatively short.

They'll be ready by the time the OTA's etc begin.

Maybe we should make bets on playoffs or not with the losers not being able to post until after the playoffs are over. With a few voluntary staying off the internet altogether for the betterment of society.

Agreed, Tony should have had it done in November, but our GM deemed it unessisary at the time.

IRVING, Texas – Tony Romo will miss the remainder of the 2015 season with a hairline fracture in his left collarbone and will not have surgery, Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said Friday morning on 105.3 The Fan.
