Cowboys didn’t draft a QB?

competition I agree with. cr@pp that was in this draft, ain't competition, except in the minds of a few who don't really understand NFL QB position....

This really was not a very good year for QB in the draft. Even the top QBs have big question marks. Young, Stroud or any other, could turn out to be average rather than blue chip. The second tier are even more questionable. They weren't desperate this year, but hopefully next year is better and select one. I am not holding my breath though. Nowadays, they just seem to luck into them.

I think you misunderstood what drafting a QB meant probably in mid to late rounds which wasn’t necessarily a future heir apparent for Prescott but rather a future backup.

Again, I think most interpreted our owners intent that drafting a QB wasn’t heir apparent to Dak but rather a mid to late round pick as a potential backup .

We had courted a Duggan visit which he was heralded to go late in the draft . And was still sitting there in 7th round . That’s the kinda QB pick I was looking for .

It took 30 years to get a DT in the first round……..may take another 40 to get a quarterback in the 1st to 3rd round……..and not counting Quincy Carter in the 2nd that should have been a 4th
