Cowboys don’t need to beat Saints

We may not need to win but the momentum this game provides going forward is huge and it could change the season.

If we beat the Saints then lose to Egirls it might not mean anything except while sitting at home we can brag we beat the World Champs. Ha

Just need to win 3 of the next 5 games.

3 of 5 will do it, but only if the eagles and giants are 2 of the 3 wins. Lose those 2 games, and it's very unlikely we win the division. The eagles game is a MUST win, especially if they lose to the saints.

That's honestly why I'm not getting too worked up about this game. I'm not expecting a win against the hottest team in football. Will I take one? Gladly. But my expectations of this current team aren't that high right now. I see the Cowboys slowly improving and building something, something that shouldn't be undone by a loss to the Saints.

We're getting better but I don't put us quite on their level yet.

It's crazy I dont want to just make the playoffs if you beat this team it means you are a contender. We need to win first to continue our playoff hunt 2nd because we need to see how good we really are. New Orleans is a great measuring stick . The Saints aren't going to lay down they need this win to stay with the Rams in the standings. The Saints have only lost one game all season but they haven't lost any away games. This is an opportunity for the Cowboys and the fans especially to makes their presence felt. The fans need to bring it. Their will be a ton of Saints fans out there like they always are. It's going to be fun, but a win here puts us in the driver's seat . The rest of the NFC east have already counted this as a loss. The rest of the world has even most cowboys fans have already counted this as loss number 6. If we win this the team gains a ton of of confidence going forward toward what I feel is a right to contend with even the big boys like the saints and rams. I really hope tyron smith plays we need him but I hope feels well enough to make an impact like he usually does. It looks like taco will be back.

I don’t disagree with any of this. I just don’t think we need to win this game to reach our immediate goals.

Yep. I predicted Dallas would finish 3-2 down the stretch and win the East at 9-7. Saints will be one of the 2 losses.
