A lot of those players were pre-cap era.

I'm talking post-cap era.

I know some are stuck in 30 years ago, but that's irrelevant to me.
Cmon man, those were the good old days back when we won…don’t take that from us old guys

Not true.

I was particularly interested in how our young WRs were progressing during the offseason. Guys like Fehoko, Washington, Tolbert, etcetera were on my radar.

Did I have high-hopes for them? Yeah, and I was likely off on my evaluation of those players. I still think Fehoko has the tools. We'll see next year if he's able to break the roster. I suspect he'll realize that if he hasn't made it by the 3rd year, he won't make it, and put in the work this offseason. I also wouldn't count out Tolbert. The truth is, those guys haven't played much, so we really don't know what they could bring at this point.

The Cowboys weren't willing to develop them on the job, and I'm cool with that.

But look at Noah Brown, for example, he wasn't perfect, but he was sufficient, and he proved the Cowboys did have a plan, despite banking on young guys who "never panned out."

It's not so much about being homers, but call it that if it makes you feel better. It's about whether or not you agree with the philosophy the Cowboys have been following.

And I, for one, do.

While I rooted for Tolbert, Fehoko, Washington to develop, I also posted early on that we should get either Fuller or Hilton, and we ended up getting Hilton, who is about equal to OBJ.

https://cowboyszone.com/threads/the-cowboys-really-need-will-fuller.502956/

It's yet to be seen if Hilton can fill the void of Amari Cooper. But let's not forget, the Bucs game is at Tampa, and Amari had this bad habit of disappearing in away games.

On the other hand, some might argue that Hilton is a more logical replacement for Cooper, and at 1/20th of the price, which seems to me that the Cowboys made out like bandits, given how Amari hasn't done much in the playoffs, and T.Y. has played in 5 playoff games.

So . . . who's rewriting history?
That might be you, personally.

But there were absolutely quite a number of fans that thought we had enough at WR, that Tolbert could slide into the #3 role, etc. So when you said "it's expected he would take time," in reality there were a lot of fans who didn't expect this at all and actually said we were fine at WR in August because, in part, we had Tolbert.

Again? You people, need to stop harassing Jerry and his FO. They do an excellent job of scouting out talent from the college ranks and acquiring them.
Too much crying on this forum. They’ve built a great team, players gotta get it done.

If you aren't happy with the names mentioned as free-agent acquisitions then you'll always have something to complain about. You hurt your credibility when you can't at least give the front office the slightest little praise. Welcome to my ignore list.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU’RE TALKIN TO SON. Try your Trollin, jackass crap on someone else.
Learn how to use the tools of CZ and research my posts… I’m fighting for this FO when you clowns have nothing but negative stuff to talk about. I just happen to be a little more balanced and can call out stuff and be fair about it.
