It saddens me to say what I just posted about Demarcus. Man is a HOF'er. I just think how frikkin scary he might have been with a Ray Lewis attitiude

nothing wrong with what you said. he's a hell of a guy and of great character. he is also a hell of an NFL player.

Most of them seem to be smart players also.

Yeah, good point. I remember seeing Jimmy Johnson and Bill Belichek talking about never drafting draft dumb players on the Football Life special on the NFL network. I hope this draft works out. We need some immediate contributions from this group in order for us to be competitive.

I like the thought of nastiness but I hate when people bring up Ware as a "nice guy". That guy put more fear in qb's in his prime than any other linebacker/defensive end in the league. He wasn't Lawrence Taylor nasty.....I get it. Ware was fine. You can win with Demarcus Ware's in this league. You just need some of those Richard Sherman's around him.....

Liking the draft. I know we missed on a safety but it wasn't a deep draft for that position

I get what you guys are saying but you don't have to be a thug to be intimidating.

Roy Williams the safety was one of the nicest guys around yet for 3 years or so he was one man wrecking crew. Receivers definitely heard foot steps when he was in his prime.

I miss having someone like that on defense.

We all saw Seattle's Super Bowl win. It was a thing of utter beauty. Not only did they demolish the greatest offense of all time, they made it look easy. And the attitude they displayed when doing it was great: Swagger. Confidence. Nastiness. Boa****lness. It was such a glorious sight when Denver, a rather finesse team walks in with their passing, and their Welkers, and their complexity, and Seattle just says "lol" and beats the tar out of them with physicality. Sitting amongst the biggest Denver bandwagoning family I know made it even better. "Don't worry, they'll come back! PFM will save us!"

Well he couldn't. The Legion of Boom and Seattle's bullying defense was just too much. We all remember it. And so does Jerry...

The defensive players we drafted are interesting. I'm happy with all of the picks, except Hitchens. I never got to see him play. But there's one thing they all have in common: They aren't known for being the nicest people in the world.

Take Dixon for instance, one of my favorite picks.

Of course, NFL officials won't put up with that. College officials didn't, which was made obvious by Dixon's multiple suspensions (yes, he's done stuff like that before). This dude lays the wood on people. Check out this highlight video, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Same thing with Demarcus Lawrence. Some people complained about Demarcus Ware's "nice guy" attitude. He never really "hit" the QB, only tackled them gently.

Well don't expect to be gently pushed when Lawrence is upon you. Expect to be driven into the dirt.

Same thing with Terrance Mitchell. He's known for nastiness. So is Ben Gardner.

Last night, Dallas signed a fullback. JC Copeland from LSU. UDFA.

He likes to describe himself as The Punishment of God.

So, back to the point. Cowboys are drafting players with nastiness and attitude. It looks like they're trying to change the attitude of this team. More aggressiveness. More attitude. More nastiness. More swagger.

I wouldn't want it any other way.

The Cowboys drafted several players that were team captains on their college teams with the thought that their leadership qualities translates well in the NFL.

Cowboys drafting for nastiness and attitude

I'd rather have athleticism, play making, fundamentals, inteligence and durability.
