he's gonna get a crap-load of dough.
helluva receiver.
hope we can keep him but i think he'll be #1 wr f/a target for many.
yep, and somebody's fan base will be very upset that they paid him like a #1. Gallup is a good player, but he is a #2 at best. If somebody backs the truck up for him, we are better off letting him walk.

Sorry but losing Gallup in my opinion while maintaining the overpaid Cooper is a mistake but all too common for Dallas to do for they consistently overpay the duds.

well your opinion is wrong, it’s a mistake to send Cooper off for overrated Gallup

As much as I like Gallup you just can't pay WRs a lot of money when you have Amari hitting the payroll for 20 mil a season. If Lamb ends up balling out and Amari ends up being injured this season they could think about letting him go and signing Gallup.

LOL...the arrogance to tell someone their opinion is wrong and yet somehow your opinion is the correct one? Okay, good luck with that one.

Gallop's future prospects might depend largely upon how well Amari Cooper remains available in 2021. :omg:

It's often been said in the past that the best ability is availability. Amari desperately needs to remain available.

Recently, it's been reported that the powers that be have grown tiresome of Amari Cooper's lack of availability.

With only $6M in dead money remaining on his contract after this season with a $22M cap hit, Dallas could save $16M against the 2022 salary cap by releasing/trading Cooper after this season should he not perform up to the level that Dallas needs or expects.

Based on current wide receiver contracts and comparing Gallup to the rest of the wide receivers, you could make the argument that he belongs in the range of guys like Cooper Kupp to Robert Woods which would be paying him in the $15-$16M/year range.

Some will say that is too much to pay Gallup seeing as how many see him as a quality #2 WR but that is where the market is at and Dallas needs to start making wiser financial decisions in terms of allocating additional resources towards the defensive side of the ball.

Per Game and Per Season Average Stats Cooper vs. Gallup

Cooper

Per Game: 4.83 Catches 66.78 Yards .41 TD's

Per Season: 74.83 Catches 1,035 Yards 6.33 TD's

Gallup

Per Game: 3.43 Catches 53.41 Yards .28 TD's

Per Season: 52.67 Catches 819 Yards 4.33 TD's
