Cowboys fans hit with major price increase attending AT&T

I still attend concerts occasionally and don’t spend more than a $100 . Can still get a bottled water for $3. Most are closer to $50. For name brand bands still touring.

I couldt even name one song Taylor Swift does and couldn’t pay me to go. Lol

Point made but alot of us dont go to 92 year old Frankie Valli concerts with a general admission ticket with a smuggled Mars Bar in our pocket

The reality is that EVERY form of entertainment has surpassed the rate of inflation but people prioritize and still find a way.

Im with you, but we are old. Demand for the music we like isnt like the demand for Taylor Swift or Bruno Mars. In the last 2 months Ive seen Night Ranger, ZZ Top with Cheap Trick.Rick Springfield, Air Supply and the Little River Band. We sat center stage row 8 for Air Supply and bought the tickets the day before the show for 65 bucks. They were actually very good. Try doing that for Taylor Swift and expect to pay 3 or 4k per ticket.

I can recall driving to game when still a teenager , free parking across highway from game . Tickets 6-8$ A soda with souvenir cup maybe a dollar. Total cost less than $10

Consider the supermarket: The outside aisles and often towards the back contain the most shopped items: eggs, milk, veggies, etc. So...why not place that in the front for ease of access? Well, to sell you all the processed, ultra-processed and other crap.

A thing I've learned about this country and entertainment is that the goal is to empty your pockets. From the time you enter the movie theater to the time you leave, they want you to empty your pockets. A football game is no different. If you can control your spending - don't eat their crap, eat before and after - you can spend money without emptying your pockets. But if you demand the full experience - parking, food, good seats - be prepared to be exploited.

Average Joe can sit at home and commune with other average Joes on Cowboy message boards. I love my Cowboys but I can take that several thousand dollars and buy a new high grade firearm or new bass boat toys and then I'll have them for years tangibly!

It’s a shame it’s not affordable for average Americans. And we wonder why we don’t have Diehard fans instead the wine and cheese crowd.

I grew up attending games as a teenager. And attending several games a year. Even higher end middle class families can’t afford to attend a few games a year much less one .

I think it is funny how you just lump newer fans in as the "Wine and Cheese Crowd." Probably like you, my daughter has grown up a fan with her father.The day the schedule comes out, I start getting texts from her. She receives Cowboys news releases on her phone. She is as big a die hard as their is, and not part of any "Wine and cheese," crowd you speak of.

The crowd at AT&T is the way they are because of how the Cowboys operate their gameday experience. Too many people's faces splashed on the screens, to many stupid games that I have NEVER seen someone not win. Im convinced they are told the correct answers before they get onscreen. BUT, that is me, and I am like you. All about the games. But for the tons of families that attend games and take their small children, they have a great time, which is what sports should be about.

Because back then people from Minnesota couldnt plan out an entire trip 2 months in advance. I can buy my tickets, book a car, book a room, and Im good. How was I supposed to buy a ticket to a Cowboys game in 1975? Air travel was also very expensive for avg Joe. Today, a dude scraping by week to week can make it work to travel to Dallas to watch his team play the Cowboys if he wants. THAT is why so many opposing fans are at games today. The NFL is global.

that list is crap. Raiders are the most expensive ticket in the NFL. It is an easy flight for me and I have still yet to go there. The cheapest ticket for Cowboys Raider is pushing 500 bucks.
