Just got back from the game. I live in Maryland and made my first trip down to Texas stadium to see our season opener. Now I have heard stories about how quiet so to speak Texas stadium is - so I was going to the game already with low expecations but WOW I must say I was and still am thoroughly dissapointed. Sitting there watching the game at Texas stadium and we are americas team and we literally dont even have a home field advantage.
The fans dont even make much noise in obvious situaions like 3rd downs for the giants. Cowboy fans dont even talk trash to opposing teams fans - I mean sheesh they are NOT supposed to be welcome in our house. Now by no means am I saying we should physically harrass these people but there is nothing wrong with giving them a little crap. Like I said earlier I live in MD and I go to Fed ex every year to catch the skins boys games and I go in expecting to get verbally harrassed by other fans. I hate to say it but frickin fed ex field ROCKS and when I say rocks I literally mean ROCKS - like the stadium shakes. Now albeit they have over 91,000 fans and Texas stadium only holds about 65,000 - so hopefully when we open our new stadium it will be better. At least I can hope. Am I reaching here or are the added 15-20k of fans not going to make a difference? Because I feel this is our only hope.
I know this has been covered before because I have read posts concerning it but even expecting it to be quiet it was still surprising how bad our so called home field advantage is. Someone please help us fix this or give me reason for hope because if you ask me , if we can get our new stadium to rock it will be a HUGE advantage to our dallas cowboys.
