Garrett would be an idiot not to take the Giants job if he was offered it. They're already a playoff caliber team, one of the most visible franchises in the NFL moving into a new stadium. They also have a historically stable and reliable front office. It's not often that a cherry job like that gets offered to you, especially if you're an East Coast guy who grew up in New Jersey.

I agree. Situations like this don't always present themselves twice. There is no way of knowing how long Phillips might be the HC in Dallas. Garrett would be a fool not to look at his options and make the best decision accordingly. Certainly, there may be things going on behind the scense that make Dallas more attractive but on the surface, I don't see that at all. JMO

Eli will never be consistent. He IS good... but cant make it through a full season without 2 or 3 major pitfalls.

Garrett's relationship to Dallas and Jerry is alot closer than it is with NY.

No doubt Jerry and Jason have a great relationship however Dallas has a head coach and if the Giants were say to offer Jason a 5 year contract for big money then there is a chance he may take it. To deny that it is not possible is just not realistic. This is a business and coaches don't go to placed based on the players; Sean Payton did not go to New Orleans because of the great talent he went because it was an opportunity to become a Head Coach in the NFL and that is a big deal to any man who is a Head Coach. I love my Cowboys but take the rose color glasses off for a second and understand this is a business not personal. Right now Coughlin is getting 3 million a year and if the Giants are serious about getting Garrett and willing to put up big money and a guarantee then yes there is a chance Garrett would take it. Eli does not have anything what so ever to do with any of this or any other Giant player that is not why coaches take jobs based on who is there.

I think Wade's biggest concern is to win a SB. If he wins one this year he will come back for next year. If they win again he will try to be the first to win 3 in a row. If they lose the second year I think Wade will call it quits of maybe become the Cowboys GM if Jerry lets it happen. They wait for Jason will be 3 years max.

First off, Jerry is likely to offer head coach money to JG to stay.

Secondly, if we make it to the superbowl, then no one can talk to JG until mid February. By that time, most teams looking for head coaches will have made their hire. Anyone that waits that long on the hope that JG will accept is taking a real risk.

Finally JG will stick around cause Romo will offer snapshots of a nude Jessica if he stays.
