Cowboys' Garrett: Randy Gregory has matured, but 'has a long way to go'

Maybe they should explain to the young man why he is failing the drug test so he knows what not to do to pass them.

If we are to believe what Garrett is saying now, then Gregory was much less mature last year than we were led to believe.

My biggest fear with Gregory is, he comes back from suspension and starts to play well down the stretch, and then....bang he's suspended again, leaving us in a bind.

If I recall correctly, Jason wasn't too thrilled with the pick judging by the war room.

I don't think he ever wanted him.

It appeared as though Jerry was talking him into or explaining the pick on the war room cam.

Either way, Garrett wasn't smiling.

This just in - a pro athlete is doing pro athlete things.

Next at 11 -- will the sun rise in the east tomorrow? We've got the full scoop.

My biggest fear is we cut a good developing young player for Gregory on week 5....who becomes a star somewhere else...then Gregory is suspended again in week 6.

Low expectations.

But to write him off entirely may not be the most prudent thing either.

So he's matured yet has a long way to go until he gets to where they want him to be. Alright so he was a complete disaster before this new-found maturity, and now he's just mostly an idiot. Gotchya.

Smoking weed or being dependent on it doesn't make you an idiot.

When millions of dollars are on the line... yes, it makes you an idiot. Just ask Josh Gordon.

You don't know what demons thst guy is facing though. I just don't think anyone fails a drug test because they like to smoke weed. That tells me it may be deeper than that.
