Why did the Cowboys have to give up a touchdown in what, 56 seconds, to let the Giants tie the game 14-14 at halftime?

If only the refs had not wrongly called Ware offsides on the first possession when he was not. The Giants wouldn't have scored their first touchdown to go up 7-0.

If only Crayton hadn't dropped that key 3rd down pass. Could have put the Cowboys all the way in the Giants' red zone.

If only Crayton hadn't stopped on his route with just seconds remaining in regulation. Would have been a touchdown for sure, Cowboys almost certainly win 24-21.

If only Romo had had one or two more seconds of time to throw a deeper ball to Miles Austin on one of the Giants' blitzes in the 4th quarter. Austin was wide, WIDE open. Would almost certainly have been a touchdown.

If only Romo had thrown a slant to Owens instead of a pass to Glenn on the last Cowboys play.

If only the Cowboys had played for two field goals instead of repeatedly trying to go for the touchdown in the 4th quarter. They could have closed the deficit to 21-20, then won 23-21.

If only, if only.

There it is, one of two of the worst calls I've ever seen in one game. Romo throws the ball to the sideline with no Giant around anywhere and they call grounding.

Grounding doesn't require players on the opposing team to "be around anywhere", though.

Wrong

What's wrong about it?...Defenders don't need to be anywhere around where the ball was thrown for it to be intentional grounding. The ball could land on a completely empty part of the field and it still be grounding.

Why does anyone care whether they would have won or not, the Patriots would have annihilated them in the SB. I'd rather them not make it in, than to be embarrassed. Look how they handled them the last time
