Make no mistake, if the Cowboys lose to this below average Bucs team than heads should roll.
The only heads that will roll are our own. We will lose and bring back the weakest links because of Jerrys thrift store mentality. So yes LVE will be back.

With the #6 seed NY Giants victory over Minnesota, the Gmen are now guaranteed to go to Philly for the Divisional playoff round.

Assuming we beat the lowly 8-9 Bucs, and can take care of business avenging our loss at SF in the next round... a NYG victory over Philly would have us HOSTING the NFC Championship with the Gmen coming to Dallas.

Definitely NOT out of the realm of possibility :)

I would give it an 80-85% likelihood
You don’t understand %’s do you?

The SF game would be the toughest game to win in the entire playoffs if we beat TB

Two teams played a flawless first round: Giants and Vikings. And the Giants handled the Vikings pretty well. They look like the best team in the playoffs so far. Followed by the 49ers. And I’d include the Eagles considering how they looked last week. The AFC has looked very bad so far.

I mean, there's a decent chance we beat the Bucs. Maybe a 30% chance we beat the Niners. And a decent chance the Eagles lose.

So.....maybe a 15% chance of us hosting the Giants in the NFC title game?

Giants beat the Eagles? Lol. Yea I suppose it could happen. Far more likely the eagles win by two plus TDs.

Us vs Bucs 70%
Giants over Eagles 20%
Us vs San Fran 30%

4.2% chance of hosting nfcg. And I think I overestimated the giants chances over Philly and our chances in San Fran.

Call me crazy but I see us winning against the Bucs. We have won every time after a loss this year and I see that continuing. The next round would be against the 49ers. We have motivation to avenge that playoff loss last year. That would set up a third bout against the Eagles. This time it would he Hurts vs Prescott. Makes for a great story line seeing there was always a backup QB in the last 2 bouts. Not about to predict that one, but I think that is how it will go for the NFC Championship. With that being said, this is a lot of optimism, but that is how I see things playing out.

Wow, did I miscalculate the level of negativity and lack of fandome in here LOL.
You certainly miscalculated.

What are the odds that both the Giants and the Cowboys win in the divisional round?

I wouldn't label that mathematical probability as "excellent".

That's not negativity, it's reality.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the possibility. Then again, I'm excited about possibilities every time I purchase a lottery ticket.

When a Cowboys fan respects opponents talent level and accomplishments, they understand and appreciate the efforts and skills of the Cowboys players when they defeat a great team. They enjoy it more because of how unlikely the Cowboys success might have been given the strength of their opponent. This certainly doesn't demonstrate a "lack of fandom".

Did we not get our behinds handed to us by TB this year? How are we this big favorite to beat them?

No you didnt...28 years of nothing will beat any true fan down.
it's seeing before believing for most of us now..

Nah you guys are just a bunch of pansies and it’s sickening. The bengals went from 1992-2022 without winning A SINGLE PLAYOFF GAME, and I would be willing to bet their fans weren’t a bunch of doomsayers last year when they made the playoffs. It’s really disgusting to see this is what some our fan base has fallen to.

The eagles had to win week 18 in order to secure the #1 seed. Playing against a Giants team full of backups they won by 3 points. It’s funny you guys are holding onto our bad performance against the commanders in week 18, but want to gloss over the eagles barely beating backups in a game that mattered to them. Win by 2 plus TDs against the Giants starters yeah right.

LOL @ 80-85% likelihood. Please tell me where you're making these calculations. IF Dallas gets by TB, there's a very low chance of them beating SF.

lord, this thread is extremely optimistic, bordering on delusional.
