Why do people suddenly think the Giants will beat the Eagles? There's always a chance but the Vikings were fools gold and in reality a very average team so it wasn't really a surprise they got turned over by the Giants yesterday. Eagles went 14-1 with Hurts under centre including beating the Giants twice. Do the Eagles have guys unavailable through injury? Serious question as I'm interested

It's hard to beat a team 3X within a season.

NYG have the momentum and fire.

Giants beat the Eagles? Lol. Yea I suppose it could happen. Far more likely the eagles win by two plus TDs.

Us vs Bucs 70%
Giants over Eagles 20%
Us vs San Fran 30%

4.2% chance of hosting nfcg. And I think I overestimated the giants chances over Philly and our chances in San Fran.

I have it about 10%. Either way it aint likely.

because they think they match up with them. Which is funny because they don't. I think the Gents shot their wad yesterday. They cant play any better. It would take an effort better than yesterday to win this next game. Aint happening.

With the #6 seed NY Giants victory over Minnesota, the Gmen are now guaranteed to go to Philly for the Divisional playoff round.

Assuming we beat the lowly 8-9 Bucs, and can take care of business avenging our loss at SF in the next round... a NYG victory over Philly would have us HOSTING the NFC Championship with the Gmen coming to Dallas.

Definitely NOT out of the realm of possibility :)

I would give it an 80-85% likelihood
Are you saying there is an 80-85% chance the Giants beat the Eagles? If you think that, then you need to go on to draft kings and put a 500 dollar bet on the Giants. You'll win 1250.

Judging by his last game, Hurts is clearly still injured. That or he was playing very safe. But he looked like a totally different player. The 2nd thing is Lane Johnson - who is probably their most important player behind Hurts - is out with an abdominal issue. It seems like everyone agrees he won't be 100% for the playoff game, but no one knows how limited he will be. Those 2 things are game changing question marks for the eagles. Plus I think their 3rd CB who is a very good player may still be out, but it's primarily Hurts/Johnson.

If the Gents get a couple nice hits on him early, he will have issues.

Yeah, very slim chance. But not out of the realm of possibility. Look what a few mistakes and turnovers did to the Bills/Dolphins game. The Eagles/Giants aren't as far apart as Bills/Dolphins with a 3rd string QB playing. Make those mistakes against the Giants, and the Eagles could lose like they did against Washington.

I understand but the Eagles have a stronger roster so unless they have a few key players unavailable then if they play an efficient game they should win again in my view

Giants have a decent roster. Jones has always been a pretty good QB with previous issues being him turning over the ball far too many times and a horrific o line - both linked obviously. Jones has a better o line and he has become more efficient. No real surprise why he's now playing well. His wheels have always been very useful. 78 yards rushing at 4.6 yards a pop vs the Vikings. Nice.

Fair points. Hurts looked like he was playing around 20% against the Giants. I think he was just protecting himself and he was very careful to not take any unnecessary risky hits to that shoulder but it remains to be seen how healthy he will be this weekend. Fair point about Lane Johnson. I guess it comes down to how healthy those guys actually are on the day.

he's a streaky QB. If the shoulder injury gets in his head and hes rattled, thats the Giants only real hope in this game.
Agreed, although I think it's more the running personally. He was afraid to run with any aggression that last game and it resulted in a lot of field goals.

Agreed - I don't think anyone but the players and the PHI inner circle knows how healthy they are. Maybe they won't even know until game time.

Siriani isn't better than pederson. They kept the wrong HC. Thats a story for another day. But in the end, Siriani isnt the better coach but has more to get a win.

I think Doug is better too. Without question when you think of what he was dealt, and what he's done this season. Not to mention his SB win. But as much as it pains me to say it, the coaching staff in Philly is very good. At least on the offensive side. They created a plan that takes full advantage of their QBs talent. Jalen Hurts is not a passer. They're winning in a similar way the 2019 Ravens won 14 games. Running the ball with their QB, and passing it when the D is selling out for the run. And they have the OL, WRs, and RBs to do it. If they do anything else they're not winning games.
