If Spence is still there, I probably wouldn't move. If he is off the board, then I would trade down. What I wonder is who the Cowboys are trying to trade up for?

Every report I have seen says Spence is not being considered by the Cowboys.

If it were me, and I had five first round grades, I would trade down no further than four spots, unless someone offered me something crazy (i.e. next years first).

I agree with you, for the most part. I might be willing to gamble if I thought teams were trading up for guys I didn't have that grade on. But I'm with you: Don't trade out of the tier. But if you can do so and stay in the tier - I'd do it.

I was listening to Brenston Buckner, DL coach of the Cardinals, on NFL radio. He said that even starting in the second round, you can completely rebuild you defensive line in the next 3 rounds. There is that much talent in the DL in this draft. Pick 3 of them and play them and by mid season you have a brand new defensive line.

So I think we should stay and draft 3 defensive linemen in the next 4 rounds with a WR thrown in for good measure. We should be good to go.

What do you think of Ogbah?

I'm with you. And I think BPA is going to start dictating it.

Yup, don't trade down just to trade down. If there's a bonafide stud, you take him.

Any other old-timers remember passing up on Tony Brackens? How great would he have been instead of Kavika Pittman and Clay-freaking-Shiver?

You mean Clay "the human speed bump" Shiver? Why yes, unfortunately I do.

I see an average NFL starter . Ekuban type ceiling. Dodd reminds me a lot of greg Ellis. Who would you rather have Ellis or Ekuban ?

Ellis was much better IMO

I disagree about the ceiling..

He has insane measurables.. Jason Pierre Paul but better measurables.

I think he just needs some coaching. He's doing well with no technique.

Imagine Brackens playing with a Star on his helmet. It's been 20 years, and I'm still ticked about it, but hey, Jerry got his extra picks, which he subsequently blew.

Everybody wants these top 3 or 4 picks because of the 1st round talents still available. Accumulating picks is great but the flip side is you are giving up a very good player to do it. Those 3s and 4s better add up to something and it's a real stretch to think ours will.

~fist bumping Will McClay~

Exactly. What is the fascination with extra picks in later rounds where the possibility of being a nobody increases exponentially? Just stay there and pick a very good player. How often will be in this position picking this high? Take advantage. From 2008-2014, we have a total of 7 players still on this teams that were drafted rounds 3-7. And most don't add anything to this team. But yes, let's get more of those picks!!

I just didn't like how Cody whitehair made him quit . I don't know if that's the kind of guy I want. I would rather have Dodd but I won't be pissed with ogbah .

It's the 3rd pick in the 2nd round. A 1st next year isn't crazy per what we've seen over the years.

Yeah, the ceiling is there. But he needs work and his motor is said to be an issue. But, again, I agree that his ceiling is pretty high. Just not sure how likely it is that he reaches it.

I would trade down 4 spots max. I want Bullard, and I bet Baltimore does too. So I'd prefer to just stay put and take the player.

But I'd hate to miss out on one of these DL prospects. Ogbah, Billings, Robinson, Reed, Bullard, Dodd, Spence.

Those are solid prospects. Not a fan of the Bama boys, but I'd draft any of the rest. Throw Jack & Alexander in there and you'e got some serious talent left to draft for defense
