I think the Cowboys will continue to offer next year’s first and 2nd round picks for Crosby. I don’t think the Cowboys took it off the table. I believe the Raiders still want two first round picks though.

Ya I think Miller ended that. That gives them top end 3rd down rusher now, and Lawrence should be a viable threat in 2027. I don't there is a real need for a long term rusher, and you trade for Crosby due the security his contract brings

Any realist know that this is a formative and transitional season because of the worst defense in the league so why not let the season play out and see where we REALLY have areas of need.

Paying Crosby for this season is like renting a Ferrari to haul lumber

Would be the most prudent move. In a draft that's pretty loaded, it's smart to keep a 1st and 2nd. Plus, we really don't know what we have with this team right now. We could trade for a Crosby level player, depleting our resources for next year, only to find out "no we're not 11-6 trying to get to 13-4, we're still 7-9-1 caliber".

The timing of that kind of acquisition is just off for a team that heavily relies on the draft.

If there was a team willing to give up two first round draft picks for him they would have done it by now. A team giving up that much in assets would want him for the entire season. I don’t believe the Raiders will get two firsts for Maxx Crosby.
