Twitter: Cowboys have more than $30 million in cap space, which happens to be Crosby's base salary

If there was a team willing to give up two first round draft picks for him they would have done it by now. A team giving up that much in assets would want him for the entire season. I don’t believe the Raiders will get two firsts for Maxx Crosby.
I think they will be lucky to get 1 with his knee and contract, id expect less at thisbpoint given the risk

If he does sign here, there will be nothing but talk about his knee.

Bad idea to trade for Crosby. Wait and see what this defense can do.
By game 5 to 8, we will see where we are. Also theRaiders will know where they are.

His price may be down at that point. Say the Raiders are like 2-6, and want to do a fire sale.
If Dallas is like 6-2. Then they may not really need him. If they feel he can actually put them over the top. Offer a 2nd round pick. Not that they should, as they will be extremely low on draft picks for 2027.

Some of y'all guys need to not overreact to moves Yes this frees up money They also have a first or second round draft pick that can still deal but there's no way they should use that right now This is a chip that you can use in the back pocket Think about if they play two to three games this year may I have a major injury that they can fix using this money but instead they use it on someone else that you all won't let go let Crosby go Maybe they'll go get him before the trade deadline but I but I'm betting they want to evaluate their team that they for game one game two maybe even game three and then if there's a major injury or a hole that's very obvious that was not obvious at one point they can now go get that exact player at that exact position and not have used it all up..

This is a just in case move this is not a now they have something on their mind immediately it's going to happen before the giant game you can correct me if I'm wrong but they have this ready because I do believe they will make another splash move if necessary but they're holding it they could just roll this money over into next year so maybe they could sign another George Pickens or get a new left tackle or a new right tackle a better one make that a focus and free agency that you need to find a starter at one of the tackles you need this money but you don't need to spend it now..

Makes you say hmm lol, Vegas is probably like let's see how things go and if we're not good this year, we'll give you a call
That should be all teams right now they just filled a roster out they just went through cut downs they just figured out their practice squad Now they're ready to go for game one why would you make a change right now I think the Cowboys are also in that same situation why not play two or three games knowing you have this in your back pocket Knowing that a team like the Raiders or the Dolphins who might still trade Brooks or there might be a position in a player that you don't even know you need because they end up being lost for the season in the first 3 games and now you have something to use just in case...

But Max Crosby he'll come a lot cheaper right before the trade deadline than he does right now right now they seem to have hopium..

But if it looks like another lost season for both those teams both of them probably aren't gonna be good you'll be able to get them a lot cheaper lot less draft picks lower draft picks than you will right now they need to stand pat they made this available for them in case they need it before the trade deadline...

Post-Trade Restructure Option: Once the trade is officially processed, the new team can immediately restructure his contract. By converting roughly $28.7 million of his base salary into a signing bonus and adding void years, the acquiring team can drop Crosby's 2026 salary cap hit down to $7.73 million to $7.82 million. it’s doable people..

Id assume they would restructure him right away to free up day to day space.

Interesting non the less
They would but to trade for him you would need the 30 million then you can restructure. It probably means nothing but crazy his exact salary is what they cleared and a week before the season start which is when they traded Micah.

Kind of have our hands tied on compensation. We can’t trade a 1st this year to my knowledge.

It leaves the door open, but keep in mind the money cleared can also just simply be used as rollover money for 2027.
I think thats why they did it, for flexibility. I dont expect any further moves but if for some reason the season goes on and they feel they are a piece away they have room to maneuver.

Not saying they will but they seem to want more than what the Cowboys are offering. The Garrett trade haul probably made the Raiders stand firm.

10 Crosby threads and all of twitter. Jerry is getting exactly what he wants out of these restructures...
I know, its nuts. Jerry very gets like 3 bucks per party. He'll make about 6 million just from ya all talking about Crosby. I have verified through my sources that he checks here at 10am daily to get a new post count for the day.

Now this is a plan I like. The price for Crosby will only go down, not up.
