Twitter: Cowboys have more than $30 million in cap space, which happens to be Crosby's base salary

That would help us out giving them less than a 1st rounders for him sheesh
Well no think back They got what two first rounders from the Ravens that was his going price Nobody else offered that that's why they beat the Cowboys I think the Cowboys offered a 1st and a 2nd or something like that and got turned down now revenge is coming back and finding that thing on sale and whether it's one first or a second to third or something..

I mean I think he might be worth AA first but he's not worth multiple picks. Yeah that that would be winning because the Cowboys would get him this year anyway but they would save a pic.

But I'm serious man it's best to keep this move in your pocket because we could have a major injury or there could be a spot on this team that's really glaring it could be pass rush it could be middle linebacker It could be something else It's better to wait you'll get better deals three or four games into the season when other teams wake up to the reality that they maybe do need to let these guys go same guys Brooks Max Crosby Who knows maybe Porter over there the corner or it might be another corner I mean we're gonna find out 3 or four games in and there'll still be time to make this happen..

Typical cowboys fans and our knee jerk reactions im sure!!!
Yeah but the knee maybe overstated now but it's had months to heal more but he is at that age where he has injuries that will never be 100 percent and he won't be the same Max Crosby I mean look at Miles Garrett goes over to the Rams and then that has what happened hurts his ankle hasn't been able to practice in three weeks I'm sure it'll be fine but this is what happens when you trade for older players you have to take that into account that it's not just the knee it's multiple problems he's going to have that you're going to have to manage the veteran days off management and all that stuff you gotta hope you can keep them fresh enough..

Was a real thing he just had surgery but he's had other knee problems Of course he can fight through it but that's not what you look for is what he can do this year but what about next year His value did go down as it should have gone down the Cowboys didn't want to give up 2 first like the Ravens either and the Ravens return to sender they noticed it too..

They're going to get a similar player that didn't cost him a draft pick and Hendrickson he was already a free agent that was the smart move should have been their first move should have been something the Cowboys looked into however one first it's still steep if the guy falls off a Cliff at any moment and that is what aging players can do..

Makes you say hmm lol, Vegas is probably like let's see how things go and if we're not good this year, we'll give you a call
or,,,, Dallas wants to see where they're at,,,, our first 7 games are brutal: road games against contenders, globetrotting, short weeks, night games, all while trying to get the brand new defense settled in. The NFL schedulers didn't do us any favors, but they're happy with the audience ratings they will pull as a result.

I agree no I'm just saying if his value is less near the trade deadline that's good so we don't have to use a 1st maybe we can get him with a second round pick or something

Good points then that means we give more to get him out of desparation

Yeah that's what I was thinking we don't have a lot of draft picks in 2027 but you can give up your second if you have one and then in 2028 you can give up maybe another second The Cowboys don't have a great history of picking in the second anyway so there you go easy solution..

Actually that means you should reevaluate yourself after the first five games that would be almost 1/3 of the season and then the trade deadline is right there ,and then you make the move,

I don't think that's desperation I think that's smart to keep that move in your pocket until your actual need arises.

Post-Trade Restructure Option: Once the trade is officially processed, the new team can immediately restructure his contract. By converting roughly $28.7 million of his base salary into a signing bonus and adding void years, the acquiring team can drop Crosby's 2026 salary cap hit down to $7.73 million to $7.82 million. it’s doable people..
But you have to have the space to make the trade in the first place.

The chances of the Cowboys beating the Rams are long. With Crosby they are still long just not as long.
Why? Rams o line isnt very good at all. I think they can give the rams problems if they add a Crsoby type. Especially if it helps keep Von fresh.

Lol lol lol lol lol great observation!!! Hoping EZ kills that!!

It's different when we need him vs them saying hell we're not going anywhere we'll take what we can get

When the season doesn't go as they think it will I fully expect A move.. Im ok with that just saying I think their window is the next 2 seasons after this building year. If they improve what is still needing improvement after this season.

This is a very interesting decision. Restructuring Bland and Ferguson was something I didn't think they were interested in doing. Bland has an injury history and hasn't been as great since his original contract extension. Ferguson might be on the way to regression. His after the catch and separation skills have already diminished, I wouldn't expect them to all of a sudden improve. Now they are stuck with these two players until after the 2028 season. Dead money for a cut before that would be really expensive.

The only way I can see this making any sense. Jerry has already decided he wants Maxx on this team and they will trade for him around week 8. A 2027 1st and a 2028 2nd round pick. They made cap room so they can pull off the trade this season and not have to wait until the off-season to try again. It's a risky move because, your locking yourself into two player contracts that I don't think they were totally sold on, for the future. The fact that they might not even pull the trade off is even more alarming. The Raiders don't have to do anything.

Risky move but I like the gumption. It's nice to see them playing for this year. The all in moniker that was thrown around last year, might be more fitting for this year; if they can pull it off.

I heard we could trade the other 1st by making it a conditional 2nd that becomes a 1st. Not sure how accurate that is though.
It’s more simple than that.

The jets trade already stipulates they get the better of our two picks

To trade the other one, the trade would state that it’s for the worse of the two.
