The Head Coach isn't the Cowboys biggest problem, it's that they have no foundation of Players to build up on and give hope.
There is no Depth at Dline to build on. We are likely to lose our starters, Osi and Gholston, in Free Agency. They aren't great players but they were the best we had.
The CB depth is non-existent with Diggs likely out next year, and Bland is our only good CB.
Jordan Lewis is a Slot CB and will likely be in demand in FA.
The Safeties are pedestrian to put it kindly.
The Oline is Average at best.
Cee Dee is our only legitimate starting WR. We have a bunch of 3's and 4's but no 1B or 2's on the roster.
The QB is paid as Elite but he is no where near and is often injured.
At every level, there is no young talent waiting to take over and fill the gaps, the cupboard is bare.
The team that doesn't play a big role in FA likely won't again and given the Cap commitments to 3 players paid at the NFL Highest, there is no money to save the day.

They have their loyal fans...

And being one myself (painfully and sadly anymore) I am glad I can see how my contributions did so much for them this past decade.
We need to do more...buy more shirts, recruit more fans, post more of fan forums....we have ourselves to blame. ;)
I put a wink, a few thin skinned fans would take me seriously, if I didn't

They have no foundation til they do. Winning is the start of said foundation. Without winning you can't duplicate WHY or how you win. Funny how winning builds a winning program. Winning cures alot. Bill belichick was the same guy at Cleveland before he went to New England. What changed? Players. Period. He found Brady and many other talented players . That's the foundation of any schematic. Players win games, especially at QB. It's crazy what will changed if Shotty starts winning games . The tone, expectations will be set. Then all will be forgiven. All the sins of 2024 and that debacle will be a memory. I'm going to try to support the staff despite the Joneses. I bleed blue since 1973. This team is bigger than the Jones boys. Its OUR BLEEPING TEAM. I will not give up on them. This coming draft is the start of the foundation. I'll be watching.

We have an amazing LB (oops, he's out next year), we have a Pro Bowl CB (oops, he's likelypedestrian at best now), we have a WR 1 (oops, who knows how healthy he will be)...and we have ummm, and ummm.. Yeah, we're screwed

thinking about it, the FO whiffed on securing OO for a reasonable price sooner.

Agree but don't buy the team cap BS. They can free up 100M in cap space. The real problem is they are risk averse which is why we don't participate in the early rounds of free agency and hire a coach like Schott.

Lol we were just a 3 time 12 win team but now we have nothing. Yea ok. This team can EASILY bounce back if Jerry uses common sense. EASILY
I hear ya, the worm will turn, always does and it is not too late to start moving in the right direction, I believe we are almost as low as we can be right now. Good thing is it can happen quicker in today's NFL.

Again, as my numerous past posts on this subject will support...
The triangle to NFL success is most often achieved by having an excellent GM, HC and QB all performing their jobs at the highest level.

These 3 position holders for the Dallas Cowboys do not perform their jobs at the highest level.
None of the 3 do.
Even worse, they are not even capable of performing at the highest level.
Because they all do not possess the ability and just plain suck at their jobs.
Period.

You're looking at this all wrong. Dallas has the highest paid QB in history. They will likely have the highest paid defensive player in history. They have the second highest paid WR in the league. Their DB is one of the top ten highest paid in the league.

If they spread out Dak's contract to Bobby Bonilla lengths they could make someone else the highest paid at their position.

Cowboys organization doesn't have a Football philosophy about what type of players they look for, what type of team the want or have a blueprint for success. The Joneses have marketing and business strategies they use in Football with poor results on the field, but their arrogance is fed by the money they make.
